Get a metal glove first
The slicer was larger than I anticipated. Beautiful, well made, but I should have been wearing the special metal glove.

Worked great until I removed the blade wheel to clean
Worked great until I removed the blade wheel to clean. No instructions received and none online. In the product Q&A, Urban Depot responded that instructions for mandolins are online, but the video they posted was from Sharper Image. Glad I figured this out in time to return.

( It's pretty bulky and not easy to store
The turning dial that changes the width of the blade gap broke the first time I used it :( It's pretty bulky and not easy to store. Also- the warnings about cutting yourself? Be careful! I cut myself, but that was definitely my fault, not the devices. Wouldn't buy this again, but it's pretty cheap so I guess I got what I paid for.
