Great for mixed ages!
This is a great game! I love that all the ages in our family can play and enjoy together. Mostly I got the expansion pack for the fifth player, which has worked great. The game is nice because it’s easy enough for the youngest but enough of a challenge involved that it keeps everyone entertained.

Nice Expansion for the Base Game
This is an expansion pack and will not stand on its own. We gave this expansion pack to my daughter for Christmas. We also gave her another expansion a year ago. She actually likes this expansion better than the first. It was an easy game to play and we had a lot of fun over the holidays with it.

We love this game!
So ridiculously fun! Base game and expansion are both excellent! We play them often during game nights at our house. Fun and easy to learn for first timers or nongamers. Great for replaying too!

Our Favorite Game
Some games "wear out" after a few times. Not Quacks. It is simple enough to learn, but engaging every time, while allowing us to talk and laugh together. We did replace the paper tokens with plastic ones with color coded storage boxes (online from a few vendors). And we did get the Witches expansion. But even without those, the game is one we will continue to play together.

Adds just enough to be a great expansion
This is a household favorite game and this expansion makes it even better. It adds a couple new mechanics but doesn’t confuse you or muddy the waters with bad ideas. It just enhances the base game well.

Great casual game
This is a fun game with a fun theme, a strong push-your-luck element and a smidge of statistics (insofar as you've got to judge your chances of pulling a good or bad token from a bag, and choose which kinds of tokens to put into it.) Easy for newbies to pick up and great for a game night with friends. Plays well with 2-4 people, and since turns are taken simultaneously adding more people doesn't add much time to the game.

Simultaneous turns!
One of my favorite aspects of this game is that everyone takes their turns simultaneously so there's not a lot of waiting around for other people to play.

Fantastic Game
I bought the main game and played a couple times, but wanted the option for the fifth player. This is definitely worth it if you already have the base game. It's a really great game.

Good extension of the base game
It's a nice extension of the base game that doesn't change the overall game flow significantly. It adds some interesting strategic elements with the witches and also a new ingredient plus more complex books. It does make the game a bit more balanced (in the original game we found that if someone is ahead by 5 or 6 points mid-game then that's pretty much it). It also adds a 5th player.Could have added some more fortune teller cards but in summary it's a good extension of the base game. Would recommend if you like the base game.

A fun addition to the game
I love The Quacks. I picked up the game after hearing about it from a store employee at a game shop. I recently purchased this game and while it doesn't a ton of new elements, it does add the benefit of allowing an extra player to play and the new cards add some cool twists.I did find it a but pricey in comparison to The alchemists which I felt added more bang for your buck.
