The chinstrap keeps it on your head during gusty wind condition. Quality materials and looks great, keeping me comfortable on hot days. The hat’s wide brim and breathable fabric is thick and opaque enough to block the sun’s rays and oppressing heat from falling onto your head and shoulders. It is super light and comfortable to wear, and the mesh top allows for air to flow through to outwardly distribute any heat generated during working. it has an adjustable cord on top as well as under to go below the head, to really dial in and secure the fit. I bought it originally for myself, but it looks like my wife will be using it more as its widest setting is not big enough for my big dome. Otherwise, a solid recommendation for anyone looking to block the rays and heat from frying your brain during exterior activities!

I got this hat to protect myself when I am out mowing my rather large yard with my rider. I wanted something that had a really wide brim to cover my face and my neck and this hat does just that! I got it in a light grey to try and repel the sunlight and heat and it seems to do pretty well with that. I have no discomfort from it and it keeps me from sweating in the sun, which was my whole intent!I do have a couple of minor gripes relating to it, but nothing with the hat itself. I can say avoid using it indoors. I bump into stuff when I wear it inside and find it is just easier to keep it off until I step out the door. The other? My family has taken to calling me "Indy" because of it, no matter that it's the wrong design and the wrong color.Anyway, I love this hat overall for what I intended it for. I didn't buy it to be a fashion statement and don't wear it any other reason except to work in the yard. However, it does exactly what I intended it do and it does it beautifully! I love it!

Great coverage. Perfect for always being outside

I live in Florida so I need to try and find some way to protect myself from the sun while doing hours of yard work each week. This has some good things going for it and some bad things.Good Things:Wide Brim - The wide brim provides good shade/coverage from the sunPatter - The gray Camoflauge pattern looks really niceBad Things:Bucket - The "Bucket" of the hat (the part of the hat your heads goes into) seems very shallow to meFloppy - This hat is much more "floppy" than expected. It droops quite a bit when you are wearing it so it's a bit disappointing.Overall this hat isn't bad, I like how wide the brim is, but at the same time, the size of the brim also makes it so that the hat tends to droop a lot.
