Bought this to replace current hose real. This was a great replacement as it fit in the location better than the old one and to reel the hose back in it is so easy that my 4 year can do it with ease even when the hose is being reeled in at an 90 degree angle. Plus suncast products have great customer support when issues arise.

We have owned many hose reels & this is THE BEST. Reasonably priced too. The hose rolls on & off easily with the crank. Arrives fully assembled. Supplier shipped out sooner than expected. We ended up buying another for our Lanai. VERY PLEASED

My only complaint is the extension hose tip that screws onto the water spout is plastic and it stripped almost immediately. Now I have to find a new piece so I can use the product.

I wish the hose connection was in tge back vs the side opposite the handle. It's easy to roll up but the box/hose isn't quite heavy enough to facilitate pulling it out smoothly. Will probably attach it to the deck so it won't move.

I have owned suncast products in the past, and never had such bad experience. This hose reel rarely gets used on the side of my house, and it is mostly protected from the sun and the environment. But after about 40 months, the handle broke. This makes it very difficult to operate the reel and of course it is out of warranty.For $75, I would have expected to get a little bit more use out of this

Got one to hold 100’ of commercial non kink hose. My old reel had a 100’ capacity but it only held about 75’ of the red commercial hose. Therefore you either had 25’ of the hose laying on the ground in the backyard or the hose became tangled and cane lodged between the reel and the body of the unit. What a pain in the neck it was to unreel the hose when that happened.Solution: I purchased this larger hide a hose that can hold 225’ supposedly, but my hose is heavy duty so the 100 feet seems to be the most it can comfortably hold. In my case it works. Plus it comes with the auto feed system that helps to prevent the issue that I had with my last hose reel. The price was about 30% less than the blue and orange home improvement stores. One odd thing was the staking design seems to need improvement. Only one stakes in the back and they are driven in at a 45 degree angle. Would be nice to have a either stakes on the inside or to be able to have stakes in all corners.I may buy another for the side yard hose.

The "side-winder" (my name) does the job...it does require some heavy winding IF you are putting back 200 feet of hose but this is much easier than physically trying to man-handle the hose on a wall mount. One note, be sure to get the "automatic" hose placement device that traverses automatically vs the manual traversing device that requires you to manually "traverse" the hose while also winding.

The hose reel was easy to assemble. There were two stakes packaged inside to anchor it in back. The winder works as intended. The one problem is that the hose connecting to the house outlet leaks at the female joint to the hose bib no matter how tight it is. It came with what looks like a good gasket, but I substituted another gasket and it still leaks. I think the leak is actually where the rubber hose enters the fitting. Looks like I will have to cut off the end of the hose and install a repair fitting.
