Worth the money
Product worked exactly as advertised and came with super clear instructions. I have used another product like this with a different light strip in the past and had very mixed results. This one worked with the hue system with no fuss. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting to pay but definitely worth the results.

Easy to install if you take care with the cut
Took less than 5 minutes to install the cut end adapter onto the Hue lightstrip and get it working.I think you can avoid an unreliable connection by making sure the raised part of the adapter connections are aligned properly with the lightstrip contacts. I did it by cutting the lightstrip to the left of the scissors line, as shown in the photo.I also left the backing tape on the lightstrip to increase the contact pressure when the adapter is clamped down. There should be no need to bend any pins or tweak the cable.

It Just Works
If you are looking to install Philips Hue strip lighting, and have anywhere that you want a break in the light to extend to another location, there is nothing else that is as highly recommended as these adapters from Litcessory. I purchased them based purely on those reviews (and largely due to there being no "official" and few other unofficial options for an extension cable that was not just another light strip). There is no doubt that these work, and they are almost as simple as advertised, so if this is a project you have planned look nowhere else.I purchased these and the 10ft extension cable to allow me to run a Philip Hue Light Strip Plus underneath the longest stretch of cabinets in our kitchen. The issue that I ran into was the open section where the range sat above the cooktop. Running lights under there would have looked strange since they would have been exposed on the sides of the cabinets, and ruined the clean look I was going for. Philips Hue does not make a lightless extension, so I had to find something that would allow me to run cable inside the cabinets, over the range, and down to the next section. I found these, and they really do work. The important thing to do when installing these is to watch the videos and read the supplied instructions carefully to make sure you cut the light strips in the right way. That was a bit more fiddly than I would have though, but ultimately not that hard if you were even considering installing the under cabinet lights yourself to begin with. Be extra careful with the male-to-female adapters since they are very fiddly to put back in if you accidentally remove them. If you are careful, they are almost literally plug-and-play.Now that I've had them up a few days I've had no issues with connection or synchronization between the split strips. Everything looks as it should, and moreso maintained the clean look I wanted under the cabinets. Take your time, read the instructions, and these will give you the freedom to design the lighting you want.

You'll need to solder anyway
I bought these in hopes I could avoid soldering to get my hue light strips set up. That did not happen. If you're reading this save yourself some headache and get the solder on connectors. The rest of my litcessory things have been good and suited the need, but these just caused frustration and wasted time.Of the connectors I got, one was soldered solidly enough that I haven't had any issues, the others all have at least one loose connection. I spent hours trying to figure out why my connection to the strip was loose, then I opened up the other side that was connected when it arrived and saw the six pins barely connected by a tiny piece of solder and several already broken. I was by no means rough in handling them, and it was obvious they were just poorly soldered and barely hanging on in the first placeI ended up buying a soldering iron and removing all the preinstalled soldering and soldering the connectors back on myself. The ones I did this on are great now, but I have a few I already installed that I just have to push on every once in a while because one or two connectors get disconnected.

Worked with my WiZ lights after the 1 modification
I installed some WiZ lights along the top of my upper cabinets. With two sets of cabinets, I chose to use the Litcessory RJ45 to 6-pin with the cut-end to cut-end, and 6-pin to cut-end connectors. The end result was amazing. The light strip was custom cut to length and the RJ45 connected the two sets of cabinets. My only issue was that I had to trim back some of the rubber on the light strip to allow the connectors to work correctly. This requires someone to very carefully handle a utility knife or razor. Take your time and be careful to make sure everything is done correctly.Pros:- Custom look- Great fitCons:- Requires cutting away additional rubber on the top of the light strip which can be a bit trickyWould I recommend it to a friend? Yes
