Amlong Crystal Clear Crystal Ball 110mm (4.2 In.) Including Wooden Stand

I had read the reviews on this before purchasing, so I went into this hoping for the best (I have purchased A LOT from Amazon and 9 times out of 10, the reviews are not very accurate). The quality of the Quartz crystal ball is absolutely SECOND TO NONE I HAVE EVER SEEN! It is absolutely magnificent. It is, without sounding "pun-ny" "Crystal Clear". I am so very glad I purchased it simply for the ball alone. Now, to the stand and the "gift box". I have posted images of the box and the stand (THANK YOU AMAZON FOR USING LOTS OF THE PACKING "AIR BAGS"!!!!!). First thing I noticed was a rattling coming from the box. I thought the ball was doomed. Upon opening the box, immediately, the entire box separated on one side and part of another. The lining was completely torn away from the interior, and there was NO FOAM IN BETWEEN THE LINER AND THE BOX - it is simply cardboard with some white satin inside. I CAREFULLY lifted the ball out, only to have the stand, while still in the box, fall into two pieces. The screw that was supposed to be holding the stand together is not long enough, nor does it fit the hole in the top half of the stand it connects to. The extremely thin redd-ish velvet lining was pulled away from the top half of the stand and was crinkled up. Figuring that this was the cause of the rattling, after carefully securing the ball, I lifted out the two halves of the stand. It was then that I noticed what was actually making the noise - Four small ball bearings/buck shot!!!!! I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what these were doing in the "gift box", but I am just grateful that they did not scratch or damage the ball in any way! After attempting to screw the screw into the bottom of the stand (fruitless, as I mentioned because the screw is too short and the hole too large), I resorted to my trusty Super Glue to join the two pieces together and smoothed out the "velvet" the best I could. As I said, the ball itself is FAR BEYOND ANY EXPECTATION I HAD! I would not hesitate buying another, as I was not purchasing for the stand or the gift box. My concern is that if all of these are shipped this way, the likelihood of damage to the Quartz is high. The first thing I am using the crystal ball for is to try and attempt to solve the "ball bearing mystery"!!!!! Seriously, I can purchase my own stand, and the box is of no consequence to me - my concern is for potential damage due to the shoddy packaging and the potential for the stand to damage the ball. However, for the price and the quality of the Quartz Ball, you cannot go wrong.

This is everything I hoped it would be!When I was a child we had a crystal ball in the house. I always thought it was so beautiful. At some point, though, my mom got rid of it.At any rate, this year my husband and I celebrated our crystal wedding anniversary. He knew I’d always wanted a crystal ball, so he had it in his heart to find me one. Though I’d kept my eye out for one for years, it oddly, never occurred to me to look for one on Amazon. But he did, and I’m so glad. This is every bit as beautiful as the one we had when I was a child and it’s even a bit bigger. It was packaged beautifully and the stand is very solid. There is nothing second rate about this product.

The perfect purchase for my first crystal ball.I was suspicious about the quality due to the absolutely UNBEATABLE price, but the set - of both the ball and stand - are, in a word, STUNNING. The sphere itself is made of reconstituted quartz crystal, which merely means that the quartz was melted down and then shaped to removed the imperfections (cloudiness, cracks, etc.) that appears in naturally-formed crystals; this is why the sphere is completely clear. My understanding is that this is to remove any distractions or focal points from the physical eye so that the user can meditate upon the ball and allow their inner eye to see the psychic reflections clearly.The accompany stand is nice, as well; it is tall because it has two pieces that rest atop one another on ball bearings, like a Lazy Susan cabinet or table. This is something I did not realize until my package came in the mail, and lo and behold, the sphere could be spun on the stand! To what purpose this serves I am not sure, but it is a cool feature and put a smile on my face. I have heard complaints about the stand, but I think it is subtly beautiful, and I might only buy another stand to change up the display every once in a while - there is nothing outright wrong with it.The size is also very appropriate, as well. I made the mistake of "go big or go home" for my first ball, and purchased the 8in diameter from Amlong, which was bigger than my head and difficult to lift. It was simply too much too soon. Trust me, 4.2 inches may not sound like a lot, but the sphere is bigger than you may expect, and its size seems equivalent to ones I've seen other Wiccans and psychics use at gatherings and festivals. You can always go bigger further into your practice - for now, this is a gorgeous crystal sphere to explore your interest in divination.

I have several of these crystal balls in different sizes. The quality of the ball itself is amazing and quite an attention grabber. Don't know how they can possibly make this for the price, but they do and it's a great deal. After reading some of the reviews I was expecting the wooden stand to be damaged in delivery or of extremely poor quality. Apparently the supplier has improved the quality of the stand considerably. The finish is somewhat rough on the underside, but other than that it's a very useable stand. The ball and stand came packed in a fitted Styrofoam box which was inside the Amazon shipping box. Not the best packing job I've ever seen from Amazon with only a minimal amount of air-filled packaging, but everything survived intact. I also purchased the brass Dragon Crystal Ball stand ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053U1KII/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) for my 150mm sphere and the Wood Cobra stand ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MI1N58/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) for this 110mm sphere in case the included wood stand was junk. The Cobra stand is very ingenious and cool looking. Will use it for my 130mm sphere.Don't be too concerned about the content of the material in these balls. Whether it's reconstituted quartz, or lead crystal, or glass or a combination of any or all of these, this ball is fine for crystal gazing, scrying etc. There's a lot of mysticism surrounding these sphere's but the fact is you can scry with pretty much any smooth surface i.e. water, glass, etc. If you're concerned about this aspect of the product just read some of the sample text available in a few of the Crystal Gazing books or other books containing info about scrying. It's not about the ball so much as it is about what YOU bring to the process. Great product. Enjoy.
