Cavalier Candy Fruit Slices - Lemon 1 Pound

I loved these lemon slices. They are not nearly as gummy and stick-in-your-teeth as the more common wedge-shaped fruit slices are. They are made using agar instead of pectin to get that gel consistency without being rubbery. I personally do not like "gummy anythings" because they have a wang of starchy taste (like undercooked cornstarch) that I find unpleasant. These have just the right amount of lemony freshness taste for me- without being sour. If you like pucker-up type lemon candy such as lemonheads, you probably won't care for these. And that's fine, just know this going into it because if you are going to break all nutrition rules by eating candy, it should be one that you REALLY like.

I purchased these because I've had good luck with Bayside Candy in the past. Unfortunately, the lemon fruit slices I received are crumbly and taste too granular when I sampled four different ones (so much so that I didn't want a second bite of a single one), from my package and not at all a good consistency - unlike the order I received from Bayside Candy last spring. Terribly disappointed!

I have tried many brands of lemon fruit slices but none fit the bill until I tried these. Cavalier lemon fruit slices are the best so far. They are true lemon flavor, nice texture.and everything I expected a lemon slice would be. I highly recommend them.
