I reviewed these clips with the assistance of my sister. These claw clips are very strong. The springs are perhaps a little too strong to open and then hold open long enough for to fit in place on your head. Once in place they do hold hair perfectly. My sister has said that she bought several claw clips in the past which have snapped in two as soon as she clamped them to her hair so she was very happy with these.The set comes with one black, one tortoise shell and one clear in colour so you have a choice of colours to match what you wear for that day. Along with the claws clips two spiral plastic coasted hair ties, one black and one copper. These ties do not break your hair in the way in which elastic ties do. They can be easily removed from your hair, unlike elastic ties which catch in your hair and can become entangled.The ties are in two different sizes to accommodate different thickness of ponytail. My sister recommends these hair accessories as a must have item. Five stars.

For under £6 you get three large claw hair clips in black, amber and transparent, with hair elastics matching each one. The strongly sprung clips are very good for long thick hair , giving plenty of grip without slippage. The coiled elastics look nice but are not very stretchy and hair can get tangled up in them. Still, it is a reasonable price for the set. It comes in a clear rigid plastic box which protects the hair accessories in transit - but is not so good for the environment.I gave these to my granddaughter who has long thick hair and here is what she said. "The hair bands are extremely elastic and have a good grip they come in three different colours and don’t feel cheap even though they are made of plastic. The clips hold my hair well - it may differ on your hair type. But overall this is a very good product."

They are also a good large size (larger than many regular clips) so are ideal for thick or curly hair. The hair ties don’t work as well as the clips, they aren’t very stretchy and tended to easily get caught in the hair. However, £5.99 for the set is an affordable price.

This is a lovely set of hair accessories and I love that each colour claw clip is matched with the same colour hair spiral/bobble. The clips grip well and the claws don't scratch the scalp like some do. As for the bobble, it WILL stretch out after a couple of uses but even stretched it can still wrap around a pony tail enough to keep it secure. I think I read somewhere that if you put your hairdryer on them, or run hot water on them they should go back to their original size. I've not tried it myself because as long as I can keep my hair up with them I don't care how much they have stretched.

My hair is so thick and I can struggle with finding clips that can hold my hair up. I liked the colours, sort of neutral, so they go with everything.
