Top end Monitor supplied with substandard mount
Monitor has lived up to expectations. Very bright, but will run with a little noise and warmth on full. I've not had to use it on full so not a problem. Feature packed and comes with USB stick full of LUTS. Not necessary, but a nice touch. Plastic build, so DON'T go dropping it! That brings me to the suppplied camera mount. Substandard doesn't come close. An accident waiting to happen. DO NOT trust it with your monitor. Replace it. For the sake of £30 (£26.90 at time of writing Mar 24) buy the (New Version) SMALLRIG Camera Monitor Mount. Brilliant piece of kit and solid as a rock!

Worth the money
This monitor works great! The size is perfect for me to record myself for YouTube videos! The build quality is solid for being made out of plastic. The screen also comes with a screen protector already installed which is such a great plus! When there is a direct power source using a plug you must hold the power button to turn on the monitor but with a battery as soon as it’s in place on the back the monitor turns on. I must say I wish the battery already came with the monitor especially when there is a deal to add it for only an extra $5.I also wish it came with a protective sleeve or case so it’s not damaged when storing or transporting it. Also the cold shoe mount is not the best and I recommend buying something separately to attach it to your camera, like a magic arm with a cold shoe. The touch screen is very responsive unlike other monitors and is very bright. The monitor is very usable outside and I love the short cut to brighten the screen.I must say right out of the box the colors on the screen are a bit off you will have to adjust a few settings to get it right. When using the monitor to film yourself you can flip the screen horizontally in the settings but just remember that not only will it flip you but also the words and settings shown on the screen.

Item Faulty
The unit is supposed to work with two different battery types, Canon E6, and L-Series batteries. I was counting on the E6 as I have a few canon 5D MKIII batteries spare. It doesn't work with the canon batteries but fortunately I had a really old L-series battery for some lighting equipment. It uses up batteries REALLY fast (and i don't have it on full brightness) so I really need it to work with my spare canon batteries.Apart from that issue its a great unit, full of features.

Great monitor great value
I got this Desview R6 monitor for my GH5 camera, after seeing several reviews about it on YouTube. The main reason for getting this field monitor was the brightness, I film a lot in bright sunlight, which makes it really hard to see the built in screen on my camera. This was more than bright enough to see in mid day sun, I use Sony NPF batteries, the highest capacity that I could find and I get hours long battery life with more than half brightness setting. Another thing that was great about this monitor was the value for what you get. The touch screen is responsive and the menus are properly located, loved the headphone jack with really low latency. This thing is loaded with features, from various waveforms to help you get great exposure to loading custom luts, audio meters, HDR mode and so much more. The built in fan is really quiet but it still has an option to disable it entirely, in my use i never had a situation where the fan was picked up by my microphone but I do live events where there’s lots of noise. If there’s any downside to this it would be the build quality, it looks cheap, bulky and boxy, but if you can get around that, you would be more than satisfied.
