Excellent rack for our small-ish NYC apartment - read this for potentially important feedback if you have a mt bike or step thru
Of all the products I've painstakingly researched on Amazon, I put by far the most effort into learning more about this one, reading each and every customer review available. They were immensely helpful, but there were a couple of pieces of information that were not in the product description or in customer reviews that I would like to add here.First and foremost, I would like to comfort anyone with a step through bike or mountain bike frame with a top tube that is not parallel to the ground that this storage rack WILL INDEED work for you. What's not explained in the product description is that the rubber coated "arms" that the bike frame rests on are two separate pieces for each bike, and one can be hung higher or lower than its companion arm to accommodate top tubes that are not at a 90 degree angle to the vertical body of the rack. My wife has a step-through cruiser that requires that the arms be placed at different heights; I have one arm placed at the top angle between the seat tube and the seat stay and the other arm positioned under the bottom down tube. For my mountain bike, both arms are under the top tube, but one side is about 3 cm (1.25") higher than the other. The fact that the frame is designed to accommodate these differences in frame types is immensely helpful. Also, note that we have my mountain bike placed higher on the rack than my wife's cruiser, despite the fact that the cruiser weighs about 1/3 less than mine (yes, it's a heavy old Specialized Rockhopper, but it's a dang good bike). It's a lot easier for me to get my bike down from the higher position than it would be for my wife. Despite the higher weight placed approximately in the middle of the entire frame apparatus, the rack is sufficiently stable.Another piece of advice I didn't see covered anywhere else: don't over-tighten the leveler feet on the bottom of the rack. I kept tightening mine (the screws never put up much resistance or became difficult to screw) and the result was a bowing of the extender fork (the thinnest part of the rack).RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE MANUFACTURER1. Include at least one additional threaded rod (and at least two additional gold cap nuts). Since I placed both sets of arms at different heights (and not right next to each other), the 4" spacer blocks correspond to the heights of each arm. When the arms are both at the same height in the frame, you can insert another threaded rod for extra support, but since mine are at different heights I need another rod to support a spacer block. This will probably only make sense to you if you're dealing with the same issue with the arms that I am. I came up with my own solution, but GearUp could solve this easily. I imagine that this hardware is relatively cheap and would increase the total unit cost by only a very small amount.2. The inclusion of the velcro straps is very useful; however, mountain bikes are designed such that the front wheel is located farther from the down tube compared to most other bikes. In my case, the wheel is nearly 13 cm (7") from the down tube, and one velcro strap isn't long enough to cover the circuit around both the thick frame and tire/rim, so I doubled up and used both straps to keep the front wheel from moving. It'd be helpful to either include an additional strap for such contingencies, or to make the straps longer.All-in-all, this is a great bike rack and we're eventually planning to get the basket add-on to store some of our cycling gear.

Good bike rack, be carefull if your mountain bike frame is a litte more new or "modern".
Excellent bike rack ! product delivered as expected, proteccion was ok, it was "easy to mount and fix" but you need to be organized, one little problem that I have was the one of the wood pilars was perforated some milimiters apart so when mountin I did have to play a little bit until it get firm and tight. (also have to change the hole). Any way the product already has supported some bumps from some friends (those one that you tell be carefull when pass through) and also some smalls earthquakes the rack provide some extra space in the apartment (small one)... im probably getting the other pieces for a 3rd bike.People with a Giant frame or a Giant bike you need to be carefull mine is perfect from one side and kinda flying in the other end, but because is in the lower part of the rack and is the bike that i use more is not a problem the bike can be there and dont fall. With my other bike everything is perfect, i think that they need to improve the hangers for the newer and more modern frames like the trails, dh, free ride. a classic frame fits ok.Conclusion the rack looks excellent, the quality is very good, assembly is easy or at least moderate (some better instructions would be appreciated) my only recommendation is to improve the hangers to fit modern frames.UPDATE:After some months everything is just the same, the rack has been very helpfull on saving space in the apartment, has support one of my friend hitting (without intention) one of the bikes, etc. Very happy with this purchase.UPDATE 16/Oct/2015:A couple of months ago we had a earthquake (7.0 richter in my city) during the movement I was just waiting to hear the bikes going down or all the rack, but nothing ! everything was okey !!!Im getting that expansion set very soon, hope that i can upload some pictures.

This is a great bike rack
This is a great bike rack. It looks nice. It's sturdy. And, there's a nice choice of stains. The worst thing about mygearip is the lack of customer service. I bought a second rack to complement the first one in my garage. The second one came without a wood screw - minor, because wood screws are easy to find. It also came with a split in half 4" spacer that provides integrity to the rack and mounting abilities. I called mygearip on a Sunday. Their voicemail said the usual, "We'll call you back as soon as possible" yet, I did not ever hear from them. By Thursday, I wrote an email regarding the missing wood screw and split 4" spacer. The reply email requested my address so they could "get this right out to me". Over 2 weeks later, I still do not have these items and ended up fabricating my own 4" spacer. My garage looks great! Their customer service is non existent. They even have one piece of paper dedicated to their commitment to us the customers so that we will continuously support them, their employees and vendors. Can't do that unless you actually provide their own commitment. My suggestion: Buy the product because it's great. But, if anything is missing or wrong then return the entire product for a new one. Why? Because, mygearup does not stand behind their own "pledge our commitment".

Excellent Product, Perfect to Showcase Vintage Bikes
Awesome rack, I use it for a single heavy vintage bike, no signs of flex in the rack after 1 year. looks really great. It took about an hour to unpack and assemble it, but instructions were easy to follow. I was worried the rubber coating on the holders might wear away and scratch the frame, but it has held up excellently. I always get compliments about it when people come in the apartment. The only weakness I noticed was the quality of the Velcro tape, I bought my own double sided Velcro and use that instead of the original straps. Excellent product!
