Looked for the right lights for my patio stairs for a while. Settled on these and I'm glad I did.Used a 7/8" spade bit to drill holes, probably would have been better to have a 1". It was a tight fit, but it worked.Spliced to my existing 12v system with no issue.Pros:Connectivity between lights (also a con because while it's easy to connect you are limited by the length of the existing cable)Bright, warm white. Just right to see the complete step. Probably got a good spread of 2 feet or more of good light on a stair.Sit flush to the stair riserCon:Had to splice to existing line (wanted to use current low voltage system)Wires are very small (20 gauge?)Only could by with the transformer that I didn't need (-1*)

I was trying to find lights to install on a deck I built over the summer. When I was at the lumber store, I first looked at lighting systems from Trex. For the setup I wanted, it ended up coming to over a thousand dollars. That seemed pretty ridiculous to me for some LEDs.I ordered these instead. Same look as the others I had originally wanted, but for a fraction of the price. What I ended up doing was installing an outlet under the deck for them to plug into, which is controlled by a switch and a light sensor (so they come on automatically at night). That was the hardest part, installing the lights though was very easy.Eventually I'd like to rebuild the front porch and will probably order some more of these at that point.

Another good purchase I'm glad I found. I'm using these in my Bathroom Niches as I wanted waterproof inset lighting. It just sets off the bathroom but I also use them as my bathroom night lights. Im not finished tiling but you can see the nice effect these lights can give you. Love the ambience. these a well constructed and easy to install if you have basic electrical skills ie you can install a light fixture. I hard wired them but they come as plug ins. They put off a fair amount of clean light and don't get hot. I give them an A

These lights are the bomb. Easy to install and look great at night. Good output. Only gripe is that the distance between the lights is short. You have to clip them and put an extension in between. Use. thick gauge speaker wire. Great for lighting pathways and stairs. I used them for uplights on my deck and to illuminate the step-up. Makes my simple deck look like an expensive one. It was by far, the most cost-effective purchase, as it dramatically improved the project as can be seen in these photos.

We installed these on inside stair were not well lit and this was a perfect solution with the existing wiring in our house. We had trouble cutting through the carpet from under the steps. We ordered a sharp punch to cut the carpet by pounding the punch from the top side of the installation

These are absolutely great. Really improves the safety. Very bright which could be negative. The quality is excellent. Installed these so the light shines across the length of the step.

The lights are great. Very easy to install. I bought two sets and need two more bulbs, but they do not sell individual sets. That is the only reason for 4 stars. When one or two go bad I will need to buy the whole set.

Been in my deck for 6 months now and no issues. I bought 2 boxes and they all still work great. I do have them on a dimmer to match my incandescent post lights and they match perfectly.
