Women's Gynecologic Health

I had to buy this book because it was my class textbook. This book starts with feminist perspective. I agree with feminism, but I don't expect to see in the OBGYN medical textbook. I want textbooks that are based on evidences not opinions. Also, its supplemental website provides horrible practice test interface that you can't check whether practice test questions are right or wrong. I mean it is so stupid , what can I say for this? I have almost read this book the in the end of semester now, and I won't use this book as a reference in my future practice.

This book should be titled the "History of Women's Rights". Political views written throughout the book. Look, the reader needs to know how to do procedures and the rationale behind them. To get to the needed information, the reader has to sift through swamp of the authors political views. Extremely annoying.....

If you're looking for a GYN book that is easy to read and helpful for clinical practice, look no further. Great text. Removed one star as the book's cover is easily damaged. Ripped a piece of the spine during regular use.

I got this book for my FNP women's health course. It is very informative, and they have powerpoints that outline the chapters very well! I find that the powerpoints make this book better by providing key points but also referring you to text for greater depth of information.

Needed for class, great book. Very thorough.

I was required to purchase this textbook for an advanced practice nursing program. The author neglected to use any bold faced terms other than subject headings. Why is this important?Because it forces you to read...every...single...line of every single paragraph in order to find out if the subject heading even references the question you are trying to answer. Bold faced terms also work well with the index when several pages are given for reference and you have to again read every....single...line...of every...single...paragraph and a search for information that would take you two minutes with any other textbook can take as long as 30 minutes with this one.When my program is completed, this one will be going to resale and I'll be searching a different reference to use for future use. I would not recommend that any educational program use this textbook. It's odd size doesn't nest well with other books in your bag. I would rather have a larger but thinner book.
