Great concept but the turtles are not using it.

My son likes to find toads & bring them into a terrarium we have setup for them. The toads are quite happy with the constant supply of food, water, & warmth. This is great because they can't drown in it & yet it holds enough water for 2-3 days so I only have to do a Fluff-n-Fold that often instead of daily. It can also hold 3 medium toads at once or an extra chunky 1 & some little guys. This would be great for small lizards, tarantulas, anything that needs water but in a shallow form.

I have a nearly year old tortoise that I was going to be leaving over night. I was worried about him running out of water, especially since he likes to walk through it and spill his water dish.This ended up being perfect. It's heavy enough that he isn't able to knock it over or move it. When filled all the way, the water lasted over 48 hours.
