Fine Additions to the Collection
If you want some fun expansions to the game or you’re tired of seeing the same old B1 battle droids, this is for you. Bought these as a gift for my friend, he loved them.

A great representation of the AT-RT walker, complete with a mildly insufferable building experience
Pictured in the background is a 3D printed proxy for this miniature. As much as I complained to myself about its arrival in a mostly-assembled state, after having put together this official, plastic model, I'm about to retract my grievances. Before that, though, the pros:- the details, like the seat, computer screen, and exposed leg parts are very nice- multiple leg pieces and piston supports are provided to accommodate multiple poses- The joints are nearly fool-proof and even if you think you're doing it wrong, it will probably work out fine in the end- Option between "Hands at 10 and 2" and "Road Rage" ARF pilots (at least I *think* they're both ARF)- Multiple weapon options to burninate, maim, or exsanguinate the opposing force- An extra Gatling tip and some extra leftover pieces make for great debris fodderAnd now the promised cons. Buckle up:- The incredible vague instructions leave assembly up to your own cognitive function, or in my case, lack thereof. I thought "Surely, the direction to go download assembly instructions on AMG's website will help", but it is a PDF of the exact set of instructions included in the box. Trying to, as a kid, figure out the Sunstone/Moonstone/World stone combinations in Fate of Atlantis was way less vague than this. You're shown parts that you can already see on the sprue, and from there it's good luck and godspeed as far as how it goes together.- Seriously. Yes there's multiple poses and yes the gold star on the instructions does indicate that, it's not super clear why there's alternative legs or piston supports.- It's fairly basic model-building logic to not glue until you've verified a fit but it rings truer here than anywhere else. Plastic model glue is highly recommended to ensure the feet are where you want them AND that it's a placement compatible with the joint of the knee AND that it leaves the cockpit level. I recommend gluing only the foot joints, leaving the knee socket dry to allow adjustability.- Even with foolproofiness, it's way too easy to end up with a wonky angle where the legs are not meeting the torso at an even 90 degrees. I feel like this is a design choice to allow for flexibility in a build that mimics rigidness, but it looks heckin' weird from some angles.I'm a little torn. If I didn't have this 3d proxy against which to compare, I'd likely feel different, but as to whether that equates to loving it or hating it, I'm uncertain. I dunno. It's Republic and I adore the Clones and seeing as we'll probably never see a LAAT proper, I'll take canon Clone Wars-era vehicles whenever I can(on).
