Great Playpen for a kitten!
I had a smaller version of this same playpen for my other kitten who is now 3 years old and loved it, but decided to upgrade when I recently got a new 9 week old kitten. It is a great way to initially monitor the kitten and keep it separated from the other cats, until it gets use to its surroundings and to make sure it has no contagious diseases. Not to mention little kittens can crawl into the most tiniest places so at night I can sleep knowing that the kitten is safe and well in its playpen. And keep the other cats from eating the kitten food. It easily fits a little liter box, mini water fountain, wet food, dry food, and bed area. I put pee pads on the bottom just in case the kitten wants to spill water (it is easier to clean up). I drape a few pillowcases on the side where the bed is so that the kitten can have a safe area (sort of like under the bed). The playpen works great. I only used if for 2-3 weeks and then the kitten was ready to roam around freely after I kitten proof the entire house. After I was done I folded it up. Now, this is the tricky part...folding was a task and a half. In fact, I gave up and someone else helped me fold it. Online they do have folding instructions and even a video that we had to watch 10 times second by second....but after 30 minutes of trying we finally were able to fold it and put it in its storage bag nice and neatly. It is like folding a sunshade...once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy, but first time around not so much.

Hard to put away. Be careful not to snap the supports.
I got a small, I wish I'd gotten a medium. If my cat were smaller this would be perfect because I could put a litter box in with them, but my cat is an adult.I would NOT recommend using this in replacement for a cat carrier or sturdy crate. This would be for a cat who is calm and just needs to be contained/separated. A cat that is freaking out would most definitely cause damage to themselves and the product. The product is relatively sturdy for the purposes of containing a *calm* cat. The screen is thick enough where I'm not worried about him ripping through it with ease( and it provides some privacy/shade but not much). I am worried about scratches to the bottom.I feel like it'd be hard to clean properly if any fecal/urine got on it, especially the screen. It did come with a light chemical smell but it wasn't terrible (to my human nose). It was hell trying to get it back into the proper shape to fit in its case(took me 10min to figure it out and it didnt come with instructions, just used what was in the description), I accidentally snapped one of the supports in the bottom, it still works but that side is not as sturdy now...so definitely go slow and don't put too much pressure. So overall, it gets what I need done. I'm pairing it with a large and good quality cat backpack, and I can bring this along, put it in a nice quiet area at a friend's house and not have to worry too much. East to carry and lightweight.

UPADTED REVIEW- Much more secure than I thought
UPDATE!!!---I have realized the reason it doesn't stay close on the top is because I did get the zipper on a little off track and it's also why it's not closing all the way.I was able to reposition it ( took some effort but it worked) and I got it to close completely. Idk how I did but I got it to bunch up a little when it closes which was an accident but turned out to help. I tested it out with my fist and I can't poke through or open it the way it did before.SO I think this is better and will be more secure for her and she won't be able to break out.Original review:I bought this for my 5 week old kitten so she had somewhere she could feel safe away from my other 2 cats and because she was so small it was just safer for her at night.Be warned, the reason I have it 3 stars is because the zipper top is wayyyyyyy too easy to break out of.She’s only 5 weeks old and still pretty small so that’s how easy it is. I zip it up and it leaves a small gap that she uses to push through and open the top up.The zipper top just comes apart WAY too easy. So I’m going to have to find something else.If the zipper thing wasn’t like this then I would’ve given it 5 stars. Because despite that, she has her little box in there and she eats in there and naps there too when we’re at work.I just need something more secure so when I place her in there, she can’t bust out in 2 minutes. That’s half the reason I bought it because I thought it’d be secure. Now idk if mines just defective and that’s why it’s like that or if the gap when you zip it up is supposed to be there. Either way, not a fan. Just have nothing else to use right now so I can’t send it back yet.

Large has plenty of room for a Corgi
Set up of this pen was very easy. It has plenty of space for my Corgi to move around. It is short, so a taller dog would probably not enjoy it or they could easily jump out. But it works great for a short dog like mine.I couldn't give it 5 stars because even after watching a YouTube on how to fold it back up, I found it rather difficult to physically get the sides to collapse back in. And when I did, it will not fit back into the carrying case because the material is too puffy. Also, one of the zipper pulls snapped off during my attempt to collapse it.

Cat Claw Tested
I was honestly on the fence with this purchase but I needed a way to keep my cat comfortable when maintenance comes and somewhere to put him while I have furniture and clean. He tried everything to get out to no luck. You can’t even tell where he scratched at the kennel. I put his letter box, food bowl, water fountain, toys and a blanket it in there for him. He loves it now that he’s use to it. He retreats to it when he’s overwhelmed. I love it. I’m so happy it has a small hole that I could fit the cord for his fountain through. I e changed the layout a bit but I’m honestly loving this as his kennel.
