I love this fountain. It is quiet and easy to clean. Just make sure to check water level. It does not shut off automatically when level is low. That happened to me once and it made noise as level was not sufficient. The cats all like it and the water stays clean with the filter.

At first, I was ecstatic, even though it took my cat a few days to get used to it. It was quiet, so I kept it in my room. But here we are, less than 3 months later, and it doesn’t work. I’ve cleaned it thoroughly over and over and scrubbed it change the filter, etc. etc. and it just doesn’t work. If I wanted standing water in a bowl I wouldn’t of purchased it. I’m so disappointed in my cats pretty disappointed as well because he keeps looking for it, so he can put his paws in and drink from the fountain part. Oh well, live and learn.

I have 4 of these fountains. 2 are an older model and 2 are the newer. I have 2 small dogs and 2 large cats. Overall these are nice fountains. The water in my fountains is changed out every 2 days, the stainless steel parts are washed in the dishwasher, and the pump and filter housing are soaked in a bowl with water and vinegar, thoroughly rinsed then allow to air dry. I have never had any problems with the pumps breaking down nor have I had problems with rust or pitting in the stainless steel. All of my animals love these fountains. Having said this, there are a few things that could be done to improve their performance. Firstly, I greatly dislike the plastic filters. There is really no reason for plastic housing around charcoal. The same thing can be achieved with the mesh filter fabric many other pet filters use. I would prefer to keep all that plastic out of our landfills. Secondly, I find the filter medium far too small to produce any real filtration which is why the water must be changed at least every 48 hours especially if you have multiple pets using the bowls. Again, this could be fixed with simply creating a filter that will fit into the pump housing more securely, thereby reducing the area where water can move around the filter instead of through it as it's supposed to do. It is important to keep in mind that these water fountains are not made to filter out tons of debris and pet saliva for long periods of time. They are not purification units. The point of these fountains is to circulate water and send it through a carbon filter to keep the water fresher longer without having to change it multiple times daily. This makes the drinking water a little more healthy for your pets instead of it just sitting stagnant in a bowl. In the case of cats, moving water is preferable to them.Like anything, the pump requires maintenance. Soaking it in vinegar and water to loosen any debris and slime inside the pump unit is is essential to keep it working properly. When I take the pump apart I clean all small pieces and corners with a Q-tip. This removes slime that can collect in the small spaces, (particularly in the well in which the magnetic impeller sits), which can also inhibit pump performance. Also important to note, the pump has suction cups on the bottom. In order for the pump to perform silently the suction cups must be engaged to the stainless steel. Otherwise you will get a lot of vibration and noise.These really are nice fountains if they are properly assembled and maintained. If the manufacturer could change out the type of filtration medium used it would make them excellent fountains. I have had the 1st 2 fountains for well over a year and the 2nd set of the newer model since August of 2022. If the manufacturer corrects the filtration issue I would happily give this 5 stars.

This one is very easy to clean and works great! I’ve had it for over 6 months now, and it’s still going strong! When it gets dirty, I take it apart and throw everything into the dishwasher to really sanitize it. The motor is extremely silent, and with its design, I also don’t hear the trickle of water. So there’s literally NO noise. It’s been super durable, handling both dogs and cats. Thankfully, the filters are also cheap and easy to replace. I used to have another water fountain that was ceramic and it was not only a pain to clean, but it was loud AND the filters were so freaking expensive. Im glad I switched over to this one!

*DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FOUNTAIN UNTIL YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN GET ALL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FIRST.*EDIT 11/21/23: The "but..." in the headline is edited as is this part. I cannot find the black sponge replacements. A link to them was posted in the questions, but the item is not available and unsure when or if it will come back. I haven't had this fountain very long. It must be cleaned weekly due to slime/algae. If you can't get replacement parts, it is unsafe. I was going to purchase more filters for this fountain but I think I'll look for a fountain elsewhere where I can be sure to have replacement parts.I wanted a ceramic fountain. We have hard water. But I did decide to try this. I think it'll be okay. You have to take it apart once a month and clean the filter. So I clean everything. The filter, the little black filter, and give the stainless a good washing and let it dry. Later reassemble and it's fresh as new.If it has any sound, like clicking, or you don't see the fountain anymore, add more water. It does take a lot of water to keep the level up and to run properly.My oldest cat always drank out of his bowl. The rescue cats liked drinking out of the faucet, the nasty bathtub, etc. After I got the fountain, there was no more asking me to turn the faucet on, or to cup my hands to make a water bowl for them to drink from, or drinking from the tub. Even my oldest cat started drinking from the fountain. They all love it.Even though it's a little cleanup work once a month and some maintenance (you have to keep new filters in there regularly, and are supposed to buy those black sponges new), it's worth it to see my cats enjoying fresh, moving water that they enjoy.

I ordered this fountain for my cat based on reviews, and seeing videos of cats licking the fountain part.The fountain was very easy to assemble, and it's very easy to clean. Also, the pump is completely silent, which is very unusual for fountain pumps. Be aware that water evaporates very quickly, and, as with all fountains, it needs to stay filled so that the pump works properly.From the looks of things, it would appear that most cats seem to like this, but my cat is the exception, I guess. I didn't return it because she still drinks from it, but she avoids the middle fountain part.

Funcionó a la perfección. Todo llegó muy bien. Lo puse a funcionar, no hace nada de ruido. Al principio dudaba del tamaño, pero todo bien porque pueden tomar mis gatos y perros. Les encantó y ahora tendrán agua fresca y limpia durante todo el día.

Product was well made and did the job, pity my cat wasn't interested, so I passed it on to a friend.

La fontaine a cessé de fonctionner au bout de trois mois, pas de suivi après-vente, impossible de contacter le vendeur. A fuir !

Das ist bereits der zweite Katzenbrunnen derselben Ausführung und ich (ebenso meine Katzen) lieben ihn ;-)Leider wurde dieses mal ein USB-Netzadapter mit asiatischem Steckersystem mitgeliefert. Sofern mir kein Ersatz für das Deutsche Stromnetz nachgeliefert wird, muß ich wohl leider einen passenden USB-Stecker dazu kaufen.
