I had carrot seeds that were coated and it broke them trying to dispense them, then dispensed almost the all of them at once. For non-coated carrot seeds they leak out because the seal from the plunger and syringe is not tight. There is a gap large enough to let the seeds spill out. The older one I had was great for dispensing carrot seeds and onion seeds.

If you have very small flower seeds this simply will not work at all, the second you tip the seeder all the seeds will pour out. For slightly larger seeds it will work ok.

Got it thinking it would help with my carrot seeds. Top popped off and seeds went everywhere. Just ended up using my fingers. It was a nice try though...

It does a good job for most seeds. Tomato, pepper, this size seeds good but seeds like radish, lettuce, carrot get stuck in the tip and want to drop two or three at a time. you can shake the tool and not tip it to much and it helps. Overall I think it is a good tool for what it's designed to do. It does help with planting.

I bought this in order to sew petunia seeds because they are microscopic. However, it WILL NOT work with really tiny seeds. Even though it says mini seeder, its for normal sized seeds.

The space at the point is too large for small seeds; this is a completely useless purchase!
