Very impressed
I was pleasantly surprised when this dive watch arrived. In my opinion the picture doesn't do it justice. I haven't used it in the water as yet but from a cosmetic and "build quality" overview the product looks and feels like something that costs 5 times as much. I will update this review after I do some diving with it. The case is solid stainless steel and the battery change compartment is screw down with a built in recess to use a coin to unscrew and change the battery while maintaining water resistance. I bought this as an everyday wear watch with built in depth measurements while free diving and as a backup depth gauge during my SCUBA diving. The large digits look like they will have great visibility in poor water conditions. The form factor is a perfect fit for my wrist since the included strap seems of high quality with the right amount of pliability vs resistance along with many holes placed closely together to get the perfect fit around my wrist. Another reviewer mentioned the color did not match the picture but I got the exact color as the picture (blue with red accent in the 12 to 3 o'clock position). I am so pleased with the watch itself from a cosmetic/ergonomic standpoint that I would buy it again even if the depth feature didn't work as planned. I'm a bit of a watch guy with many more expensive units that have failed to impress as much as this one has. In my opinion the watch has just the perfect amount of weight to give the feeling of being substantial while not being too bulky. The profile is slightly higher than a normal high quality digital watch but it is not too much so. If it works as advertised this watch is a much better deal than many costing 5 times as much. If Pyle could fit a decent full dive computer into this exact form factor I would buy it in a heartbeat and then it would compare to true dive computer watches costing 10 times as much! The dives will be the final test! I really hope it works as advertised because IMO dive watches are ridiculously priced and it is about time a manufacturer came in and shook up the playing field! I hope to dive with it very soon.---Updated 4th of August, 2014-- Post Multiple DivesWell I've had a chance to dive with the watch on two separate occasions and my 5 stars still stand. The watch is excellent as a free dive computer and as a backup depth gauge. The accuracy is perfect. One of the things that kept me from getting this watch sooner was a review that talked about the "5 second sample time" read somewhere in the manual. I wanted a watch that gave near real time updates. After diving with the watch and conducting experiments I can attest the depth response of the watch is near instantaneous. The 5 second time may be in reference to when the depth sensor first engages the depth function. Once the watch is in depth mode it registers changes immediately with depth change as little as two inches. I've tested this on free dives where I held on to an object and moved up and down the water column. As I have moved the depth has accurately moved up and down. So 20 free dives later and I have to say this watch is a real winner. This is exactly what I was looking for, just many hundreds less than the competition.

I like the look
I have mixed feelings about this watch...I like the look, and appreciate the information it provides; but it definitely has its quirks. I had planned on returning it; but I am reconsidering that option.Problem 1 - the band is too small. I had great difficulty fastening it over my wetsuit; and, once fastened, any wrist flex resulted in the mode button being pressed. This was problematic because I couldn't, at a glance, check my time, depth, etc. I subsequently fastened it on my BC; but then viewing was inconvenient. **I should point out that the watch fits great, with plenty of room for adjustment, when I'm not wearing a wetsuit; so it would probably be fine if I was wearing a thinner suit...but, with hitting water temperatures of 48 degrees (at 40 ft) in July, I like the insulation of the thicker wetsuit.Problem 2 - I used this watch for my open water certification. The automatic switch into dive mode is convenient; but it sporadically switched out and back...turning 4 dives into 20 (and, no, I did not surface to cause most of those switches). It seemed to reset itself most times that I changed depth after pausing - so if ascended 6-8 ft, it became a new dive...likewise, if I spent a few minutes at one depth, then descended more than a few feet, it often counted that as a separate dive. This makes logging dive time tedious. If it only happened when I came within 3-5 ft of the surface, it would be more acceptable/tolerable.**edited to add**About 25 dives later....Temperature is fairly accurate at 20-25 ft; but about 12 degrees low at 40-45 ft. Also, it occasionally goes a little crazy, logging depths of 250+ ft (for dives that were under 60 ft.Something must have been interfering with a sensor initially, as it rarely restarts dives without me getting close to the surface, now. I'm wearing it on a different spot; and the improvement seems to match with when I switched.Luckily, I have a dive computer; so I wear this for convenience and backup. I'm leaving the rating at 3 because of the inaccuracies I've experienced.

Great Watch -- Not a great Dive Watch -- Great if you have skin allergies
I love this watch. I've worn it minute of every day for the past year or more. I would have given it 5 stars, but I had to take into account some inaccuracies. First, let me tell you why I love this watch. It looks great, and it keeps time very well. I love the fact that it tells me the day, time, and date at a glance. Also, I am allergic to nickle and the 100% stainless steel back piece does not react with my skin and cause irritation the way most watches do. This is really all I ask of a watch. For these functions, this is a fantastic watch and well worth the price. I'll buy this watch again should the one I own ever poop out. Now, lets discuss what the watch doesn't do well. Lets keep in mind that this is a watch, not a dive computer. If you are using this as a dive computer you are not going to be happy with it. I have worn this watch to 100' and it can handle the pressure. However, you will not get an accurate depth reading nor will the temperature be accurate. As all divers know, it is important to know your depth and it is important that the reading on your depth gauge or dive computer be accurate. Don't substitute this watch for a dive computer. Period.Other than that, all other functions work really well. As I said above, I'm very happy with this watch and would buy it again.

Defective product: update: works great now.
Fast shipping as usual and the watch was a great price. Unfortunately, the watch became stuck on dive time after one use in the ocean and the watch hasn't functioned properly since. I used it one more time while diving and it was stuck on dive time mode, so it counted up to 99 minutes and it maxed out. I can't switch modes at all. I've tried soaking it in water, but so far it hasn't worked. Will talk to manufacturer about warranty.Update: I read online about simply taking the battery out and resetting the watch. I did that and it's working again. The battery may have been older when I got the watch, so it's possibly a low/dead battery issue. If it does it again, I'll buy a new battery for it.Update: The watch has been holding up very well. The beeps can be turned off so the fish aren't scared away and it's easy to read underwater. It switches modes once you dive down to show depth and time underwater. Come up and it switches back to time. The only thing it doesn't do is a breath up mode or whatever. But honestly, it's absolutely no problem to just look at the time and add 2 minutes to breath up for my breath up time.

Great features and value!
I just received the watch, and it has many great features! It's just what I'm looking for in a waterproof watch, suitable for use while diving, snorkeling and swimming.

Time = great, Depth = no go
I was excited to use this watch on my dives, but will not be trusting the information. First dive trip, SPG said 75 ft, watch said 66 ft. Second dive trip, SPG said 45 ft, watch log said 80 ft (log still on my watch), second dive on that trip, SPG said 40 ft, watch said 31.8 ft. I'll be watching it closely on the next dive trip, but I'm sad that it isn't working as it should. Keep shopping for an affordable dive computerTime seems to be really excellent. In my job, time to the minute is important. I set it match our dispatch time and it's been spot on for over a month. For that reason I gave it 3 stars.Temp function seems to be in the ball park, although to me, temp is just a fun fact. I label temp as cold wear wet suit, or nice board shorts water. This function works only when your in the water though. Air temp was low 70's, watch said it was 89.... but I'm a warm blooded mammal so there's that to consider too.

Solid watch for price. Meets my needs.
I've looked long and hard for an affordable watch that offers a depth gauge. This one is simple to use, gives me exactly what I was looking for in terms of functionality - depth, max depth, time, temperature - and does so at a great price. Another selling point is its size. I do not have large wrists, so the bezel size is perfect. A great little feature is the band's 'locking' feaure. It securely fastens the loose end of the strap so you can be sure it will not be coming off.I've used this watch several times freediving and have found the depth gauge to be accurate. The temperature seems less reliable, but I haven't given it a true accuracy test yet.EDIT: The temperature gauge seems to consistently read 4° Fahrenheit BELOW real temp. I have confirmed this with a number of sources. I'm not sure how this relates to other watches of this brand or type, but this is how my particular watch reads.

Incredible what it can do for this price!
I used the Pyle Underwater watch for a backup during 12 dives in Roatan Honduras. Instructions for set up were easy to follow; I appreciated the dual time feature for different time zones. It worked just as described with "Diver's Mode" activated at approximately 5 feet below the surface, the face is clear and easy to read at 97 feet deep (my max dive on trip). The depth and time viewed later were very close to the gages on my regulator. I liked being able to review my dives without carrying my regulator away from my wet dive gear. Although it has a long wrist band, it was easy to adjust it to my small (female) wrist on the 2nd of 10 "slots"; it has a unique tab to hold the band in place and is light weight enough that I wore it all day. It does NOT tell how much time you have on your NEXT dive at a particular depth nor give an air consumption reading, but you will pay a lot more $$$$ for those features on your wrist. The Pyle Underwater watch is incredible for what it can do for this PRICE!

Great watch, could use a better watch band (stainless steel would be nice!)
Great watch. Works and does exactly as claimed. Only issue I have is that about 1.5 years after buying it (.5 year out of warranty) the watch band retaining ring broke and now the watch band flops around. I'm hoping that they have replacements because if not, I'm guessing I'm going to have to put on an elastic band to hold it. I'm assuming the band is next to break and by looking at it, it doesn't look like it's replaceable.Watch bezel and lens are very robust, no scratches after numerous scuba dives. No water issues after diving to 130 feet.

Just suck it up and buy a dive computer
So, This is adequate if absolutely all you want is a log of your dive. As others have mentioned, the fact that it resets with no delay when you surface is annoying. I.e. you surface for 10 seconds to locate the boat and go back down and it counts as a whole new dive. However, I quickly found this watch didn't allow for any of the planning that you would want a dive device to do. I.e. my first dive was 22 minutes at 80 ft. 2nd dive is 50 ft, how long can I stay down? Nope this watch doesn't do that. Now I'm going to step up to a dive computer. Also, I don't think the looks are so bad, but my family thinks it is ugly as sin.Update: After about six months the watch got stuck in dive mode. I had to remove battery to get it working again. It could be it sat on the shelf for a long time, but six months is a really short time to replace a battery.

Excellent value for the price.
The watch has a plastic shell with a stainless back plate. It is a little bulky but what you can you expect from a "dive computer"? That being said, I don't see why it couldn't be used as a regular sports watch. One observation based on the comparison with previous dive watches I've owned, the strap is longer thus allowing the user to wear the watch over a rash guard or dive skin. The functions are easy to modify and the indiglo backlight is just right for those swim throughs during your wreck dives or for night diving. So, yes!! I would recommend to a friend as a cheap backup computer.

Kudos to the Amazon operator for making good on a bad product.. I only hope the new one works
Updated for October 30th, 2018....so the one I had for about 1 year and a half finally died....I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking that old age caused it to quit....So I ordered another one and got it. And as per the recent reviews....YEP, the other reviewers hit it spot on....The battery in it was DEAD (WENT TO WALGREENS AND bought another battery for it ($15)....When I tried to program it, I hit the backlight....it stayed on for about 30 seconds and locked up...So, off goes the watchband, off goes the back, out goes the battery, back in goes another battery...and it does the same thing. If it hadn't of been for the Amazon operator, I would have asked for a full refund... Pyle, you continue to get negative reviews about the inconsistent way it runs....my suggestion....take it off the market...redesign it....make sure it does what it is advertised to do, and put it back on Amazon as NEW and Improved....Amazon is sending a brand one at NO cost to me and they are going to check it to make sure it does what it supposed to do....But you know what....they shouldn't have to do that.....I ONLY hope that the new one I get works like it is designed....

I love it. However
When this watch is working correctly, I love it. However, I have another dive watch that's much older I have to take with me just in case this one glitches out on me. I have no idea why this watch glitches so much. In order to fix it, I have to take the back off, remove the battery, and then re-insert it. When it glitches, none of the functions of the watch work. Every time you open a dive watch you're taking a chance on the integrity of the seal. If these glitches didn't happen, I would rate this a 5-star product, especially considering the price. However, it's not reliable to be working when I want it to work. There's nothing you can do other than remove and re-insert the battery to fix the problem. Sometimes after removing and re-inserting the battery the chimes and alarms won't work either.

A Quality Diving Watch for a Reasonable Price!
Bought this watch for my diving cert in Kauai about a month ago. Functioned just as described! Bezel on this one looks nice but doesn't really have a usable function! The watch is a little "thicker" than I would like but considering all of the various functions it provides it really isn't that obtrusive. I was espcially pleased with the way the band easily accomadated the thickness of my wet suit. Overall, I really couldn't find another quality diving watch with these functions for such a reasonable price!

Incredible and sheap
This is the most incredible support watch for scuba-diving. It resist until 100 Mts (300 ft). It take to you almost all the information you need under the water (depth, diving time, water temperature). The watch alert you when you are going up fastest than PADI regulatories. On the other hand, it doesn't mark the security stop, neither the surf time period, but you can calculate those with the RDP.
