A Safe Home for Shanti Cow

This small book is very heartwarming. Though it is meant for children, it should be read by adults too because we never think about cows- how they grow up, what they like, what they feel, etc. This book takes us through the journey of Shanti, a cow transplanted from another farm.The book is touching because the author Linda Voith and her husband Steve have spent a lifetime taking care of cows, giving them new lease of life and have fought legal battles to keep cows on their farm. I have known Linda for a long time and I can assure you that any donation you make to their Gaushala will be used most appropriately because after all, Linda is the mother of all cows.

Awesome book. The author of this book has written the story with her own experience with rescued cows. She has deep connection with the most sacred animal and wants all the readers to do the same. Once we achieve that with any living beings, we appreciate life and it's surrounding every day. I wished the story was little longer..but still makes the impact. Om Shanti! Thank you Linda for dedicating your life for this purpose! <3

This is a fascinacting story of Shanti. I was hoping to read more and more pages with pictures of Shanti, her calves and life events. It would be nice if sound and dialogues of Shanti's young visitors whom I saw in pictures, could be heard to make it more enjoyable.

The author has taken through the Precious Lives through the eyes of Shanti who finds a safe haven at a Goshala. One among the Good Reads to see how the Lives of Cows are not only sacred but their lives are very important for ecological perspective. It instills that sense of heritage and balance that the world should see this an important perspective.

This is an excellent read. I have been to this Goshala with my kids. My kids even milked ‘Shanti’ which was an amazing experience for all of us. Nice story of Shanti, Sharah and Krishi with great pictures!!

Its a really insightful book. A really touching true story from a Goshala in America about cows being protected. If we protect the innocent and the peaceful that is a great starting point for developing our humanity and consciousness, and it appears to work in this true story. I'm looking forward to giving it to my Niece, but I enjoyed it as an adult! I think it will help children develop a awareness of the love, kindness and happiness that can be found in nature.The photos are great since they are actual photos of the cows the story talks about.Great book, fun to read, very good message inside!
