We have used this product once daily since purchased about a month ago. Fit well in the beginning. Now, when I go to dislodge the used coffee from this basket, the whole basket falls out of the portafilter along with the coffee. In other words, the basket became loose after some use. In all other ways, this is a great basket.

Yep, fits Breville's 54mm stock portafilter just like it says it will. Ground beans go in, water goes thru the holes - presto! You have an espresso. I'd say it's a good alternate to the single wall basket that comes with the Breville 54mm machines.

I’ve been looking for a solution to stop my shots from squirting when using the stock 2-cup filter basket with an open portafilter on my Breville Barista Express 870XL. This basket is not it. In spite of doing everything I can to prevent this (18g dose, declumping using needle WDT, distribution tool & palm tamper, and puck screen), I still get the same squirting with this basket as I do the stock one. It’s not me! My used pucks are dry, solid, even and release easily with no evidence that my dose was ill prepared. There is virtually no change between stock Breville and this supposed improvement. It’s kind of distressing because I really enjoy watching a good shot being pulled with an open portafilter without the mess. I’m seemingly out of options to achieve that.

Works Ok. But if it doesn’t, Crema will only accept UNUSED returns. But how do you know it works unless you use it? Hmm, that is a puzzler. Hey, I know! Don’t buy it in the first place!

I have breville duo temp and the tamp uses 54mm baskets and the base of this fits, but it widens out so that it doesnt go in. Does not say it does this in details or anything.

We bought this for our Breville Bambino as previous Bambinos shipped with only double-walled, pressurized baskets. Ours was new and straight from the factory, and came with both pressurized and non-pressurized baskets, so we really didn't need it.We'll keep it anyway as a spare.This "aftermarket" one is every bit as good as the factory one.

The product description says “suitable for Breville espresso machines”. I have a Brevilla Barista.The basket doesn’t fit snugly in the portafilter, it should snap into place but instead it spins around. The worst issue is that when attached to the portafilter you cannot then attach portafilter to the machine because the design and dimensions dont match.Waste of money.

Works very well. Compared to a pressurized portafilter, it demands a higher level of skill with regard to grinding and tamping but produces a slightly more flavorful espresso with better crema when things are done right.
