The out side box of the chain, I received, doesn't have the yellow dot. I'm not sure if it is a genuine part from Stihl.

Dislike that on the box it didn’t say it was fully or semi chiseled chain and it’s not painted on the chain like normally

My original chain wore out from years of use and sharpening. This replacement chain fit my saw and started cutting nice long ships without any binding or bouncing during the cut. Nice chain, but then again STIHL always seem to sell great products.Recommend

Changed out the bar and chain to replace the original (which was a 16" .43 gauge). Since I have two MS 180 saws, so I could honestly say this is such an improvement over the bar and chain that comes with these saws, it is like a whole different saw. I'll use the original on one saw for the small brush and this setup for bigger brush, since it cuts so much better. When the skinny bar and chain are worn out, this is the combo that will replace it. This is what should be packaged on the MS 180 from the factory.

Excellent replacement for that crappy chain that comes on your MS170 or MS180. Look up MS180 chain replacement on YouTube for part number for the bar. It makes more difference than you can imagine. I wish I had replaced mine years ago.

The real deal - Stihl chains at a gr8 price.

It might actually be the right chain, but come on man at least put it in the box!I should have just gone to the dealer.
