If you're interested in 3-D, this is the only game in town
You're looking at this for its 3-D functionality, right? If you're not, go get an iPad. No Android tablet can match an iPad, and I say this as a long time Android phone user, who is generally rather leery of the colorful fruit company. If, however, you think you might be interested in the 3-D functionality, you're in the right place. If you're like me, and got a Fuji W3 camera back in the day, figuring that the technology would eventually come along to easily display your pictures? It finally did. Right here. A big screen, no glasses needed, it's what we figured was coming years ago.Well, this is it.As a general tablet, it's solid enough for Android. The Snap 845 was always a good performer, and it's still perfectly adequate for just about any task. With that being said, it's behind the times compared to what's available today, although unless you're some kind of power user gamer, you'll never notice. This is all about the 3-D screen, where it truly stands alone. If you need or want that functionality, this is an easy recommendation. If you don't want it, there are better choices out there.

The LumePad is amazing! Watch movies in 3D with no glasses. 3D camera/photos. Great Android tablet.
I was recently introduced to the LumePad and I had to have one for myself. This does not look or feel like a toy, like many android tablets. The LumePad has a aesthetic look and feel of a high-end instrument.I love the moon grey color. It was easy to activate and set up; with access to several great apps made especially for the 3D user in mind. NO 3D GLASSES NEEDED! The LumePad even comes with a built-in 3D camera for photos and video! On the Lumepad, 3D games are phenomenal. In addition to the expected Android functionality, Leia provides online access to 3D pix and 3D videos from 3D users around the world. Plus, with LeiaTube, I can stream standard 2D movies and videos from the web and convert them to 3D Lightfield on my LumePad.So much to explore! The Leia LumePad is an amazing device for the price.

I was skeptical, but I love it!
I have to admit, some of the reviews made me a bit skeptical to get the lume pad, but after having used it for a bit, I really enjoy it. 3D side, the tablet itself is excellent. The sound quality is great. The light field 3D technology is very interesting, and I have found it enjoyable to use. It does take a little bit of time to get used to, because of how it breaks a 3D image into four different fields so that it can be viewed from multiple angles. Sometimes, when you're looking in between those fields, the 3D may look askew. But, overall, the 3D effect is satisfying, especially when it converts 2D into 3D or when it looks at lower resolution 3D pictures like those I took on the aiptek 3D camera 10 or so years ago.I do wish that it did a better job handling the 3D depth when it comes to MPOs that I took on my Fuji 3D camera previously and currently. There has been some discussion on the forums that the MPOs may be better viewed as side by side pictures that then you tell the LumiPad to convert to 3D. I haven't tried that yet, but I also don't want to have to change the hundreds of pictures that I took before from MPO into a different format. From what I can tell, it appears that this device did not sell well enough, and that the development team at the home company are not going to develop the 3D light field technology further. Or, at least, move away from enhancing the lume pad experience. It's a shame. It could be a game changer, with further iterations, making 3D as seamless in the phone and tablet as 2D.For the low price at which it was currently being sold, I have found this tablet to be an excellent value and an enjoyable device, and one of the only ones where I can revisit 3D pictures I took in the past.

Nice tablet software, poor 3D resolution

My review is based off of this tablet being $299
For $300 getting a tablet for a top end processor (for 2019) and 8gb of ram is a great deal, adding in 3D makes it a fantastic offer. I would have been upset at small issues if I paid $700 but for $300 it's a deal.3d apps- you are entirely limited to the lume pad app store. You even have to open 3D youtube videos with the lume apps or it will not be 3D. an okay issue for a $300 tablet with 3d capabilities.3d is easy to see and very flexible on the "sweet spot". 3D quality is slightly better than a 3DS but all the apps are built with that in mind (minecraft in 480p vs 4K minecraft gives the same feel of the game).I opted for this tablet verses the proma tablet due to this one having a newer OS, more ram, and a better processor. If you only want only high definition 3D and no other normal tablet functions go Proma King. If you want a good tablet that has 3D functions (and half the price) go Lume Pad.
