Unfortunately, the fans are flimsy. The two outer pieces may be wood, but the inner pieces of the fan feel like thin and flimsy cardboard. They don’t have a scent to them at all... but I guess you can’t expect that from cardboard. Disappointed.

You get what you pay for. These work to cool you off but fracture and break easily. Only have 2 left after a month because the blades have broken. The blades are very thin. If they were a bit thicker and sturdier, the fans would last much longer.

Keep one in every room and purse.

If you are using these strictly for decor, they are great. I was actually hoping to get a little bit of a nice cool breeze from fanning these but they are not quite what I was expecting. They do not fan out very far and to pull them apart wider you see this clear string holding them together, so I guess these are just for decor, I didn't realize.
