Shimano Tiagra 4700 10 Speed Cassette Cycling Equipment

Good wide range cassette which can be easily dismantled to give a range of cogs for custom gearing when coupled with other Shimano cassettes. I wanted a cassette with a good range of lower gears for a sustained 30km climb but couldn't find one, so I made my own using one of these and another Shimano cassette. It doesn't shift as smoothly when you do this (the cogs are designed to be used in specific combinations after all) but it did work and was much cheaper than a new chain set which was the alternative.

This 10 speed cassette was bought to be used in a turbo trainer. Never came with the spacer that was need to stop gear 9 from not fitting correctly. Luckily I had one spare. Not your top end cassette but it will do the job and at reasonable price by a quality brand.

Excellent replacement for a Sunrace equivalent, didn’t even need to adjust my shifter. Shimano instructions in the box are pretty useless but include a link where an installation guide PDF can be downloaded.

i needed this for some hill climbing on my road bike as its very hilly here was perfect for the job

Shimano has always been a good brand with nice components
