Dragonfly Girl Gear Un-Tee Performance Sports Cami

I bought this shirt to wear as an undershirt at work but boy was that a mistake! I work in a factory where it is very humid and 85 to 110 degrees for 12 hours, and for the past 2 1/2 years I have tried at least a dozen different combinations of wicking tank tops with sport bras and tops with shelf bras. I do have a set up now that works great, however it has been discontinued so I started shopping again for something similar and this fit the bill. When it arrived I tried it on and it fit great, it seemed to be what I was looking for so I wore it to work and it was by far the WORST of all the shirts I have worn to work! For starters the fabric is quite thick, think like the thickest swim suit fabric you have felt, so it was pretty warm to say the least. But the worst part about this shirt is once I got a little sweaty (it was only about 85 degrees at work that day) it felt like wearing one of those heavy duty black trash bags. For the first time ever I had change my undershirt at work because of how uncomfortable it was, and that was after only an hour. I didn't even want to move, so as to avoid the shirt touching my skin.****Update**** A few days after I posted this review I was contacted by the company looking to remedy the situation. I was offered a refund but since I find the shirt comfortable to sleep in I declined. I was also sent a new shirt (free of charge) not in the market yet to try out. When I put it on I loved it right away, and the shelf bra even had some padding which is awesome for the self-conscious among us. I was however, hesitant to try wearing it at work after the last one but I was pleasantly surprised. It was literally the perfect shirt. I wish I could rate that one here because I would give it 5 starts for sure!

I received one of these to review in size 14, orange. I'm not sure what size this is equivalent to; the sizing on Amazon ranges from X-Small to X-Large. It's small for me, but when I get a little more weight off of me I'm going to be able to use it for what I'd hoped I could: as a swimsuit top underneath my rash guard tee tucked into swim shorts. This cami top is almost like a sports bra in terms of how it keeps "the girls" snug and contained.I've bought a few similar camisoles, and the quality of the Dragonwing girlgear is hands-down awesome. I love the four-way stretch of the fabric, the thickness of it even though it is light in weight, the wide stretch band and the soft satiny fabric of the shelf bra, the careful and strong stitching, and the longer length. What I don't like about it is that the non-adjustable straps are really too long for the size, at least for me. I have a short torso and was hoping this "girl-sized" cami tanktop would have shorter straps than some of the adult-sized offerings. But under a rash guard, it's not going to matter.If you are really buxom or thick-chested, this product may not be right for you. If you have an average torso and pre-pregnancy breasts (as most teens tend to have), I think you will be pleased with this company's product. They do need to work on their sizing, however, because what they've got posted now is not very helpful. The good thing is, though, that the fabric stretches a lot and so if you make a mistake by a size up or down, you're probably going to be fine.

I selected this item for my daughter to try out through Amazon Vine. I was not given the option to choose a size or color at the time, so I was somewhat uncertain as to what to expect.When it arrived, my daughter, who is thirteen, slim of build but larger in a certain area than most girls in her school, tried it on. She didn't care for the color she received, orange, but did like the fit. It was sized "10" and clung tightly but comfortably to her body.She's a dancer and has used many items for support over the last couple of years. She was very pleased with the support given by this cami. She went through a few dance moves and reported back to me that the support was excellent and that this would be a great shirt to wear under a loser shirt.It is a very form-fitting cami, so keep that in mind when ordering this item. In the opinion of this father, I suggest using it as an undershirt since modesty can become an issue.This cami does what it says, so I can't really complain about it. Recommended.

I picked this tee up for my 14 year old daughter to use at the gym. She is 5'6 and about 100 pounds soaking wet but she is getting curves. I ordered the tee in a size L and it is plenty big width wise except in the bust area where it fits well. The length is a bit short on her frame too and rides up when she is out for her daily jog. The fabric itself is slick and stretchy and breathes well when working out. Her biggest complaint about the shirt is that the shelf bra offers no support for those with any kind of development. I would say that once a girl hit puberty she needs to buy something more supportive when working out or wear a jogging bra underneath the shirt. As for the color, we got a pink shirt and it is a very bright pink. I would imagine that the other colors are equally as brilliant. Overall, I would recommend this shirt for prepubescent girls ( approx. age 7 - 12) for workout purposes.Recommended with above reservations

The shirt is really soft and its quality is like that of the higher end althetic brands. The material has a nice weight and texture to it that gives confidence it's a performance fabric, not just cheap polyester parading as athletic gear. The colors are excellent - bright without being obnoxious and in popular hues. The interior shelf bra has its own elastic rib to fit tight against the skin without affecting the outer drape of the tank top.I did have to exchange the size for my daughter. Dragonwing was very easy to work with and sent us back the right size. I had to fill out a paper form and send it back to them, and the replacement arrived a few weeks later.My daughter wears tanks all the time and she really likes this one over the regular cotton ones. Plus, as it gets washed, it holds up a lot better and still looks like new.
