Oral7 Dry Mouth Moisturizing Mouth Gel Containing Enzymes, 1.6oz

Perfect for people seeking to find a substitute for the re-formulated and now worse-than-ineffective Biotene Oral Gel. As you may know, Glasko Smith Kline (GSK) bought out the Biotene brand back around 2014 and then proceeded to remove the key moisturizing enzymes and somehow re-flavor the revised product so that the effect on one's throat is rather similar to what I would imagine diluted carbolic acid might feel like. Fortunately, this Oral7 gel is now available in the US (previously only available abroad, e.g., in Australia). This product is AT LEAST as effective as the original, pre-GSK Biotene gel -- to me, it seems to last longer, and it also has a more innocuous (not sweet) flavor compared to the original. A little pricey as of this writing, although the tubes hold a bit more product than the Biotene gel tubes. However, most importantly, it gets the job done very effectively and pleasantly, and so strongly recommended for dry mouth sufferers, particularly those frustrated by the Biotene reformulation.

This gel has been important to my ability to sleep at night when suffering from dry mouth and throat. While not as thick as others, it has an amazing effect to keep my mouth moist for hours - enough to cover the drier times when the pilocarpine isn't working, and the dryness would normally keep me up. The gel is gentle on the mouth and throat (no burning as with Biotene's gel, no funky taste). I'd buy it by the case if I could find it!

Great solution for all the people suffering from the "new and improved" biotene. No problems, no coughing or burning, it is great. Very expensive, but maybe even better than the biotene before the formula was ruined.

I have terrible trouble with dry mouth due to Sjogren's syndrome. I have tried many sprays and gels but this is by far the best. You don't have to use a lot, just a little dab on your tongue and coat the inside of your mouth. I used to get up in the middle of the night because my mouth was so dry it woke me up. And that was with other products. I no longer have to do that! And an added bonus is that it tastes good. Not sure what the flavor is supposed to be but to me it tastes like bubblegum flavor

I've tried many products for dry mouth, and this is the best without a prescription. It doesn't last much longer than the others, but the flavor is pleasant (to me), and it is easy to use. The package is a littler larger than I would like -- I would prefer something I could fit in my pocket because I don't use a purse. I recommend this heartily because it really is better than the others, in my opinion.

Coud be a more firm gel with less air in the tube and less expensive. I only used it at night for my very dry mouth, need it several times.

This product works as well as other gel I have used. I like it better because it is not so sweet. Tube is easy to use and fits in my purse or side pocket. Seems to last longer than previous gels I have used. Hoping to "cure" my dry mouth. Don't know if it will.

I have had dry mouth for 10 years caused by 1 dose of blood pressure medicine. I have tried everything I could find. This is best relief I have gotten. I would recommend all their products; I use all three for dry mouth.
