Andrea Bocelli: The Music of Silence
A**E
Excellent!
This autobiography by Andrea Bocelli is beautifully written. It is both interesting and moving to follow his life story from early childhood to the point where he reached his dream of becoming a famous singer. And in this edition we get an update which describes the two most significant events in his personal life since the start of the new millennium, the death of his father and his meeting with his fiancée Veronica Berti. You get the feeling that his story is told with complete honesty. He is clearly a deep thinker and, I believe, a very sensitive person. One c an only feel joy at the fact that he has reached such an extraordinary level of success in his musical career and happiness in his private life.

Not what I expected, or should I have expected it really?
This is an interesting book. It gives a great insight into the life of Andrea. But a word of warning, if you love his voice, his performances, then reading this book may put some doubt about him in your mind. So, to prevent that remember one thing - he is an old fashioned Italian man. Remember each of those 3 facts - old fashioned, Italian, man. So if you are British don't expect British values. And with that in mind, enjoy the book, because it is worth reading.
