Great system and even better Custom Service support
This a great camera system. It is perfectly priced. Reolink has the best customer support I've ever seen in a company. If you have an issue they respond within hours. Not kidding. I emailed their tech support at 8:30 PM and they responded by 8:53 PM. After working through my issue, the problem was solved less than an hour later. Their customer service is the best. I have had this camera system now for over two years and I have had zero major issues with it. I think most of the issues that arise are small technical issues that usually happen when the system (firmware) is updated. You may have to reset some settings. However, I think you can save system settings and then reload them. The system has never failed.CamerasReolink continues to improve the quality of their cameras. And once you have the system installed upgrading is as simple as unplugging the old camera and plugging in the new one. I have 4M cameras and 5M cameras and the 5M cameras produce a high-quality image. The 4M cameras are good but the 5M cameras are superior. I can only image how awesome a 4K camera would be. Motion detection is awesome. There are a ton of controls that allow the motion detection to be set up for your personal needs. Getting notified on your phone that someone is at your front door is worth every penny you might spend on the system.Mac AppThe client on my Mac is super slick. It is easy to navigate and configure. Reolink continues to push updates to keep the client updated and fix issues. The client continues to improve. With one of the latest updates you can now update the NVR firmware from your computer. Prior to this update you were required to copy it to a flash drive and update it directly on the NVR.iPhone appThe app on my phone is also slick with a nice interface. The only issue I have sometimes is getting connected when trying to view a camera. Even on a super-fast WIFI network I will get connection errors and it may take several tries to finally get the camera to begin streaming. I should take a STAR off of the rating for this but there is so much more about this system that is great I am going to leave it at 5-STARS. This issue may even have something to do with my home WIFI. So, 5-STARS it is.If you are looking for a surveillance system get this one. It is a great system. It is easy to set up. It is easy to use. You won't break the bank getting it. You can always start with the NVR and a camera or two and add cameras at a later date. That is what I did. I ran extra CAT-5 cables when installing the first two cameras and then easily added three more cameras.I highly recommend Reolink.

2 TB storage and many settings. Easy to setup.
Considered buying my own components for a NVR POE system but considering motherboard, power supply, POE switch for 8 channels, The recognized brand name Reolink NVR was a buy ! Easy to set up connected to HDMI Tv/monitor. On the TV remote, only one button press is required to view camera that monitors your property and entrances by all family members ,when doorbell rings or buzzer on the NVR sounds due to a detected event. Many settings are available to fine tune your system cameras for detection filtering false alarms with the supplied mouse. Not just a closed circuit video system but integrated with a motion detection in the field of view of the camera(s). Connected a POE Reolink REOLINK 4K PoE Security Camera System, Home Outdoor IP Camera in 180 Degree Viewing Angle, Human/Vehicle/Pet Detection, Color Night Vision, Two Way Talk, Up to 256GB microSD Card, Duo 2 PoE (New) The picture is amazing 180 degree view and detection. NO monthly charges for local storage of the 2 TB hard drive and with the alarms activated it is a motion detection security system. . Not yet connected to a router for mobile monitoring but fully functional. The system provides peace of mind and convenience when waiting for your transportation, Uber etc to show up or arrival of guests and delivery people. All recorded for reference if needed. Will be expanding the system to cover property both interior and exterior. The startup cost was just under $350, a bargain for this type of security system for both vision and motion detection. IMO.

Superb products and software
REOLINK rocks! I upgraded to 5mp and 8mp IP cameras and NVR from an older and "another brand". The ease of use, functionality, setup is proving to prove itself a fantastic value for the money. The picture quality is awesome, the motion detection is Ai assisted and fantastic. The connectivity and options are second to none in my opinion. I had a problem with 1 of my 7 cameras, after a bit of trouble shooting it was shipped out/replaced very quickly. I am totally impressed and grateful for REOlink and their products.

The system looks good (follow up)
I wanted to follow up on my past review.I think I got everything going and accepted the results and I am happy with the results. The system runs well and records my events like they advertise. As a former data network engineer, I tend to make things do their highest expectations and Reolink is up to the challenge. I submitted tickets to support and their response was immediate. Sandy with Reolink stayed on top with communication reports to me.I thank her for her support which made the issue better.I recommend the NVR and cameras for your needs.**********************************************************************************************************************I used a server type program but the recording was first come first serve. I decided to try the REOLINK NVR. Setting it up was not easy. First be sure you have a VGA m/m cable and monitor on hand. I suppose I did not see or read that it was required for set up. Also accessing the main NVR screen cannot be remotely accessed. This means I have visit the NVR directly to make system changes which is a hassle if you are not in the same building.uThe app for IOS products is very limited and has issues with display of cameras. The IOS app is fickle and sometimes needs deleting the NVR and then to adding it back so that all cameras can display.I hope as I get to know the system better it will make me happy. The cost and number of ports I needed serves my needs. I have been buying Reolink cameras for about 5 years now and like the cameras a lot.

Works right out of the box
Simple to setup and worked right out of the box when connected to other cameras (Duo and bullet types).Have not done pen testing yet for security, but using it behind a firewall at the moment.
