Nice Heavy Duty Plastic Tub
The tub is a very well made plastic container. While this was intended to be a animal feed dish, it has many uses for those creative enough to consider their options. These tubs are very durable and proudly MADE IN AMERICA, which is always positive.I use this tub to hold snow melt (like salt, but not as corrosive as salt and not harmful to pet's feet, etc.) on the back of my Sub Compact tractor. I spread the snow melt either with the plastic bowl shown in the one photo or with a small hand held spreader which has a hand operated crank on it's side. The bowl makes an excellent application tool because when used correctly, it fans out the material over a large area and is surprisingly consistent in it's material spread and distribution. It also prevents the wasting of material as I only put the amount needed into the bowl for each "throw".Many of the tubs which are available at local farm supply stores were designed to be mounted in a 90 degree corner and I wanted the long straight edge to be up against the rear of my tractor's seat assembly and deck platform.I drilled 4 holes in the flat flange around the top and installed 1/4" stainless eye bolts to be used with ratchet straps to secure this in place. The plastic tub sits right on top of the weights mounted on the rear weight bracket. The ratchet straps go under neath the suit case weights and the weight bracket and are secured to the other side of this container. I cut off excess strap length which is pulled through the strap so it doesn't get caught in the tire chains, etc.I suggest drilling 4 small drain holes to allow the moisture which will accumulate from snow melting, etc. to drain out the bottom of the tub. Just be aware that in my application, this means that corrosive water is being drained right onto the weights and mounting bracket on the rear of the tractor. Each spring I repaint the weight and mounting bracket after cleaning any corrosion or other damage from the drain holes in the container.I keep the snow melt covered with an old bag from the material which is held over the tub with simple bungee cords. I also carry a small shovel for steps and the corners of garage doors and other areas where I can easily access the snow for removal while plowing or blowing snow with the tractor. While these photos were taken with rock salt in the container, I normally use a much smaller granule of the snow melting product which are white and about the size of a BB. The rock salt was used for a early ice storm and I was applying the rock salt on our neighborhood road curves and intersections due to the terrible driving conditions brought on with 1/2" of solid ice in a early winter storm. This is my second identical container for this purpose. The first contained lasted about 10 years and finally the plastic broke when securing it in place. This container will hold about 55 pounds of snow melt when filled as shown in the photographs. I have been very pleased with the quality of the plastic and the durability of this tub for my unconventional use.

Simple and works great
We have a couple of these to feed show steers and they work great. They're fed twice a day each time for about 15-20 minutes then taken down, cleaned and hung to dry most of the time. Given the chance, as soon as they finish they will tend to knock them off of the panel and treat them like a soccer ball. There bullet proof so far. Obviously they could be affixed to the panels or two walls however in our case we need them to be removable and that's how we use them.So far the size has been fine, however for a short while we will likely be exceeding the capacity at each feeding. A larger size would work great at that point, but would not be practical the majority of the time. I think 99% of the time they're perfect size.

Great construction
This feeder was exactly what I was looking for. Great construction with sturdy, thick plastic and heavy duty L-bracket. Note: black is a recycled material and thus less expensive but also lessor construction.
