Walker & Williams Extra Long Deep Barrel Strap Locks for Thick Guitar Straps For Acoustic, Electric, And Bass Guitars

These are the best "Schaller" design strap locks I've used so far. I love the design and the quality is great!I wish they would offer in a stronger metal like steel for ultimate durability, but these are still great.

mine did not have hex nuts, but rather a nut with 2 tabs for tightening. i guess that makes easy for hand tightening, but I really don't like the distracting and clunky look. Ended up not using them, too bad.

I tried getting these to work for 45 minutes! Then I figured out I was doing it all wrong. Some instructions would have really come in handy....🤦🏻‍♂️ Also you're going to need some pliers.

The picture shows a hex nut for tightening. I did not receive hex nuts, but rather a nut with 2 pins for tightening. I usually prefer the hex nut and really tighten them down to ensure they do not loosen. Not sure if I had the same tightening affect with these pins. I do typically love these longer Barrels. Time will tell if these new nuts will work as well as the hex.

These are perfect. I no longer have to worry about the nut getting loose and popping off. Also, I can use them with thicker straps that were problematic before. The extra long barrel is just a no brainer. I'm gifting these to all my guitar player friends.

So far they are great. The nut that attaches the strap button to the strap did not fully screw off of the long shaft. It screws off but the little nib on the very top of the strap lock prevents the nut and washer from coming all the way off. While this made it a little annoying to put the strap together, it's almost a safety feature in that if the nut some how comes loose (a complaint with the short shaft Schaller strap locks), the strap will never come off. Also, I'm not sure the "US Sized" screws they advertise were the same size of the strap button screws of my Gibson. They seemed slightly thinner and I mean slightly. They screwed right in snug and I didn't have to do no drilling or use a toothpick for extra grip.

These strap locks are perfect and give you the peace of mind that you aren't going to dump your favorite instrument because the strap popped off. Simply not going to happen with these. Yet they are simple to unlock and remove as needed. I bought my first set to go with a thick strap that also came from Walker & Williams (Fabulous!) and as soon as I had installed them and checked them out, i ordered two more sets for the thick leather straps I have on my other two guitars. If you like a thick strap, you'll want these.

Due to reading reviews of others on this product, I did not expect these to interchange with the Shailer units that I have used for years. However these work quite satisfactorily with all of my guitars with the Shailers Gets Four stars due to the instrument side buttons seem to be made of aluminum instead of plated brass. All in all they solved the problem and met my expectations.
