Mighty Bright64602 Sewing Machine Light, Silver

I would highly recommend this little light to anyone using a sewing machine, scroll saw, or similar "tool" that requires extra light on a small work area. The price is very reasonable, so the worst case scenario is wasting $11 or $12. Being battery-operated you don't have to mess with yet another power cord in your work area. It comes with two bases, meaning that you could use it on two separate machines, transferring the upper part from one base to another. Each base comes with an aggressively sticky patch that holds on tight. The lumens aren't phenomenal, but they have proven quite adequate for my use (on a scroll saw). I would have preferred a device that used AA batteries but this one uses a smaller size (AAA?). Anyway, it comes with one battery so you have time to scrounge for replacements.

It only uses 1 AAA battery and it's BRIGHT! It came with 2 adhesive bases which is nice so you can use it elsewhere! I definitely have a base on the side of my sewing machine. Super helpful. The light slips in and out of the adhesive base really easily. Stays put really well, easy to turn on and off. I really like it! It also has a flexible neck so you can easily adjust to light up the area you need.For the 2nd adhesive base I actually attached it on the wall above my kitchen sink. My kitchen sink doesn't have an overhead light so if I don't feel like turning on the entire kitchen light, I can just slip this into the base and turn it on to do dishes and treat it like an over the sink light lol. This thing is so versatile!!! I love it. :)Also I bought this back in 2012 so it's 8 years old and going strong still! I'm not using it all day every day but for using it every so often for 8 years, it's pretty great especially for this price! Hurray for durability!

For my sewing machines.

the adhesion is great and so is the easy to install...the brightness...awful!!!! very low briliance. I tried it in several areas and it was very bad. I still have to set up a lamp to make the poor light on my sewing maching to see what I am sewing. I do not recommend this light. Sorry.

Given to an Amish friend who does not use electric light. The brightness of the light and flexibility afforded by two bases has made it substantially easier for her to see her work even when the room is dimly lit.

Too small. Bright initially, but batteries seem to run out quickly and it gets dimmer and dimmer. I used maybe an hour max (not all at once). If you are sewing in the dark and your machine doesn't have any other light source, then I guess it would be ok. I returned it.

I love that it’s battery operated so I don’t have to deal with a plug, but with only one AAA battery it is used up fast. The light dims quickly.

I recently purchased my third Mighty Bright Sewing Machine Light. When it arrived I noticed the light was dull. I changed the battery just to check and it was still dull. I contacted Amazon and returned it. The replacement arrived before I had a chance to put the old one in the mail!! Thanks so much.

Very good light, great for all types of hobbies

My sewing machine's bulb burned out and I was finding it impossible to change the bulb. So I looked for another solution and came across this light. There are other more expensive options out there but I thought I'd try this first and I've been very happy with it. It's bright and the neck is very flexible so I can adjust where it is aiming easily. The battery lasts about 8 hours or so....I left it on one time and regretted it, so now I'm pretty careful to turn it off when I'm done. There are more expensive options with cords, but for the price I think this is a pretty good light.

Also ich finde diese kleine Lampe recht fiffig und kann sie gut an der Nähmaschine einsetzen. Habe den Halter mit Magneten ausgerüstet, und kann die Lampe somit je nach Bedarf an meiner Maschine platzieren. Die Lampe selbst rastet gut auf dem Halter ein. Also eine metallene Maschine, mit Magneten, bestens! Einziger Kritikpunkt : Mußte das Päckchen direkt beim Zoll abholen, nervig halt. Daher nur 4 Sterne, aber ansonsten alles gut :)

Getting older, harder to see that little needle hole, so put this on my sewing machine and viola I can see that little hole.Also it includes two bases, so you can put it on two machines and just transfer the light as needed...smart people.

brought as a present for my mum, but did take it out of the package and make sure it worked when it arrived. It comes with batteries and two base units, I tried the batteries in the light and it worked perfectly and was very bright,so I think it is going to be just what she wanted, I wish I had purchased two now. Good product at a very good price.
