Star Night Laser Dancers 4 Pack

I almost didn't post 1 star, I am not happy at all. I ordered 2 4 pack and we are having trouble with almost everyone of them. I am waiting to hear from my sister's and will probably send them all back. I have tried 4 of them and none will stay on. They will come on and go off in about a minute. The majority of these lights will go back depending on what my sister's have to say about theirs. I don't know what is wrong, but, I am definitely not happy about them.The ones I ordered off QVC worked great.

Serious design flaw, do not buy. All four units failed within approximately one week (one was virtually DOA). Unit runs for a short period of time, then turns itself off. When the button is pressed, it will resume running, but in a short period it turns itself off again. In my experience as a design & manufacturing engineer, 4 failures in 400 would be a concern for a consumer item like this. Four out of four is unforgivable. Should have never been released to market.

First, the positives. This set is relatively inexpensive, and, taken together, they can illuminate a fairly large area. A convenient function button toggles between 7 settings with pretty patternsNow, the negatives. During the initial installation, the plastic housing for the screw that controls the light's pitch broke off. No big deal - applied a homemade remedy replacing original screw with a longer one. After 2 weeks of use (about 5 hours per day), the green laser went off on one of the lights. After 1 month of use, the red laser on the same light first became unfocused and then faded.During the next season, the same malfunction occurred with another light. In the meantime, the red lasers on the remaining two lights became dim and unfocused. Had to throw away the whole set.

I really like the number of dots and the speed of the motion. I have 1 of these from last year for which the internal 6-hour timer did not work. However, that was not a big problem because I had my lights on a solar timer. I like the lights and good motion speed, so I purchased this 4-pack for additional lights this year. 2 of the 4 lights had a functioning 6-hour timer. The other 2 did not and they kept running for over 11 hours before I turned them off. But as with last year, I will control all my laser lights with solar timers, so the internal timer function is not a big deal.However, I had to take 1 star off because of the internal timer problem.

I set these up last week. Three of the four lights are defective. Two of the green lasers are very dim. The third one, the motion works sometimes, sometimes it does not and the green is also very dim and blurry. The fourth one works flawlessly, and looks amazing. I contacted the seller who immediately sent out four more units, and requested the original ones be returned. I received the new units yesterday. ALL FOUR replacement units do not work. Two the green does not work at all, and two of them the green is very dim and blurry looking. The one that works in my original order has bright clear laser marks with the red and green both. I guess I will be sending all 8 units back for a complete refund.However I am nervous to send these back with the label provided as it is a COD return label with No Tracking # Available.

These are great lights. Brightness is the same as my more expensive laser lights. Note that the intensity will be affected by the color and reflectivity of the surface upon which the lights are placed. Also, the green always looks brighter than the red. Ambient light such as street, incandescent or LED string lights can wash out the laser lights. Every other brand has the same finding. For those people who had complained about the units turning off after a minute, that is likely due to too much ambient light affecting the auto-off photosensor on the front of the unit. I placed a small piece of tape over the sensor and that worked perfectly. I connected the units to a common plug-in photosensor timer. Now they all turn on at dusk and off around midnight.

First day was so bright, second day little dim, third day all green dots were gone, all four of them, not only one, i mine four of them, not happy with it, another bad thing, i have to pay the shipping to return those bad units. NOT HAPPY.

These are much better than I expected. After reading many reviews of other types of lights that don't cover much sqft I decided to try these since they are four. I thought I could put two or three in my front yard to cover the front of the house. Well, one is all I needed with these so I will use the others to shine of the sides and back of the house. The wife and kids love them and I am not crawling around on ladders putting up Christmas lights this year.
