This is a gorgeous color and the pigment works great. It blends in the resin well. I was looking for a red mica and kept getting colors that were too pink. I'm Including a picture of the swatch I made comparing it to a few other pigments so you can the difference. I ended up sending this one back because it was practically identical to the Craft Source Scarlett Red. It was frivolous to keep 2 of the same color and the Craft Source was $1 cheaper at the time so I kept that one and sent back the Black Diamond Merlot. I was happy with the quality though and would buy more colors from this brand in the future.

I ordered the "Merlot" and I must say the color is awesome. The powder blended well with the resins I used and the results were spectacular. I would definitely order this again.

This particular Merlot color is difficult to make the color as is in the bottle and shown on the photo unless you use a lot. I have used a number of other micas by the same maker and would recommend them highly. This one just happens to not be as wine or red colored as I wanted. It is closer to dark orange in use.

Beautiful effect. I used alot to make a dark blood red epoxy table. Came out perfect. Didnt expect so much texture in the look from a single pigment.

This color is beautiful. I'm an Epoxy artist and this is one of my favorite colors (second only to Cobalt blue). I used it with redwood and it's truely the perfect combo.

Like many customers, something is off with the colour. A previous reviewer showed a dark red colour and what I received (in August 2022) is definitely not that. The one I received seems to have some fluorescence, and it is more pink that red/Merlot. The picture shows the product in a little water beside a red Sharpie marker for reference. Ironically, it is exactly the colour of paint I have that I wanted to to tint, you know, more Merlot like. What I pity that this product has changed - I hope the seller can get it worked out.

I'm not sure if this is a quality control problem or if the pictures are just way off but I was expecting a deeper red like well... Merlot. What I received however was more of a salmony colour. Not thrilled.
