Update: it doesn't rattle, and the only time it moved was when my cat decided the cord to turn it on and off was a toy and then decided to experiment with pushing the shade around also (naughty kitty, but she's adorable). I am more satisfied with the lamp than I was after I assembled it, and I didn't even realize the lightbulb has different color/tone options which was a nice surprise (I didn't even know it came with the bulb, but I really didn't read much as carefully as I usually do).The seller also reached out to me with a generous offer which made me think again about how the lamp has been the last couple days, and I would have felt dishonest accepting their offer because the lamp has grown on me, and I realized that the review deserved an update too. (The seller did not ask me to, or even imply that they would like me to change my review.)Original ReviewI’ll have to go back through the product description to see whether or not there’s anything that warns you in advance that the lampshade just sits on the top shelf, because if I had realized that I would not have bought this.As you can see in my photos the lampshade does not sit flush on the top shelf. This could be because one of the support bars I received is warped, it could be because the lampshade arrives folded flat and in half and I did not fully understand the directions for shaping it, it could be because it holds its form by velcroing on to a metal square, but since it is slightly off-balance, even on a table, I think it is combination of all of these things.Now I have to decide whether I want to put in the work to take it apart and send back.

Along with many others, I did not think the lamp came with instructions. When you get to the lampshade assembly YOU WILL FIND the instructions with the frame. I remembered a video from "Jay Tells All" and it got me through the assembly without the instructions. However, at the end of the video Jay Dremels out the slot so he can fit the lightbulb socket in. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS, unscrew the wing nut all the way (free on the cord), slip the base in, and screw the wing nut back on. Also, the small triangles are for the base (bottom shelf) of the lamp. I did not use them because our lamp is on the carpet, but if you have a wood floor I would definitely use them. FINALLY, your lamp/bulb does change intensity--you have to pull on, pull off, and pull on again for the next color. Guess I expected a change with every pull but that is not the way it works.For a review of the lamp--I really like the lamp. Have a spot in the house where finding a lamp has been impossible. This is the first one I have liked there, it does not shine in the eyes and will change brightness/color to match the mood or decor. My only con is with the lampshade staying on the base. Ended up putting a tiny dot of Scotch removable wall putty and it works well.Hope this helped.

It took me less than 5 minutes to assemble. The cons? The lampshade is flimsy and does not stay on. Luckily, I had strong double sided adhesive that I applied to the bottom of the lampshade and it stays put. Someone suggested velcro as an answer to my question about the product, but I didn’t have that on hand!It is very light, hence why I think it’s flimsy, but it does the job! I bought two for my room as a replacement for my night stands because my bed sits quite high. In the future, I will probably switch these to the living room on either side of couch, but we’ll see.The light bulb is quite brighter than I’d like - even at all 3 settings, but it’s not a deal breaker. I’ll switch it out for more dim ones later.

I needed an inexpensive floor lamp and I like this style. This lamp was easy to put together and there were no missing pieces. The shade leaves something to be desired - it comes flat and has to be bent into a square shape and the sticky flaps turned down over the wires to hold it in shape. Never really able to get it as nice as I wanted, but it works. It is on the smaller side, and has a minimal footprint, which is what I wanted. As I said, for the price, it is a good lamp.

I really like the way it looks and it’s quite sturdy. However, I wanted to take advantage of the multi light color feature but discovered that I would have to downsize my Wi-Fi gigs to use it. From 5g to 2.4g. That is why I’m giving it only 4 stars. But It was also very affordable.I do still recommend if that feature is not necessary for you.

Super easy to put together and comes together really nicely. Only took off a star because the listing makes it seem as though there are 3 different shades of white that you can switch between but it just gives off one shade (a medium warm tone) off and on. Aside from that, lovely lamp and sturdy shelves to put decorations on. So chic!

It was fairly easy to put together. It could use a little more instruction on how to put the shade on the frame for a shade on lamp. Also put the nut & bolt together on hole slide of shelf for bulb. I did manage to put together by myself. But, I do that. Lightweight. Holds a few nice things. But don't over weigh the top. I actually would get this for my family if they needed one. But I like mine
