I have 2 collies a month apart in age. My female is a BIG chewer!! She can go thru a rawhide in an hour no matter the size! These yak bones she cannot!! No matter how hard she chews she can only get little slivers. These can last 3-4 months. Yes they’re expensive but they are worth it!!! I pay a lot more for rawhides in that same 3-4 months. Tried a few other brands but too soft. Recommend this brand as it’s always hard enough Angel can’t chew through it in a day.

Our 1 yo puppy will demolish any store bought toy in 5 minutes, don’t care how tough it’s supposed to be! These he lives and it takes him several days to destroy it! This has saved our belongings from being destroyed!

I originally ordered this and it arrived in approximately 472 pieces. Amazon customer service was great and refunded my money for something that is otherwise considered unreturnable. I reordered and hoped for the best and it came in tact. My dog loved it and I really liked the quality. It wasn't overly brittle and it took my dog a long time to eat (weeks), while regular sized sticks may only take him an hour or so since he crunches right through them. Costly, yes, but if it lasts that long and given there's less waste, I may grab another.UPDATE: I did grab another and it came in one piece. Once again, I was happy with the quality… it took my super chewer a month to get through it with no brittleness or large chunks coming off. Is $30/month a lot for a chew for a dog? Yes, but given its longevity and that I can’t give him a lot of other toys (stuffies, bully sticks, etc.), and I am staying away from antlers and bones due to the risk of broken teeth, it’s money well spent. I’ll be buying yet another.SECOND UPDATE: I have now purchased several of these and all have arrived in tact since the first. They are sometimes an ounce shy of what is advertised, but I'm not going to get too bent out of shape about that. However, now that my dog is full grown and getting used to these, he can get through one of these fairly quickly.... in a matter of a few hours. It's not overly brittle and no large chunks break off, he's just that persistent.So they're worth a try but if you have an overly aggressive chewer like I do, know that these may not last terribly long. Still the longest yak chew I have found (and I have tried MANY), but expensive for something that only lasts hours for us. Unfortunately I haven't found anything better.

Bought this previously as I have an aggressive chewer. Was wonderful lasted almost 2 weeks. Received a new one and was broken in 3 pieces and shattered shards inside box. So now I can't even give it to her as the pieces are too small. Just too bad as it was one she didn't devour in 5 min.

There have been many reviews regarding product description and length. Mine was 10.5 inches which was a true respresentation of its description. I was happy with that and wanted to let others know. I have tried the 5 inch but it is too small for my Doberman to hold onto with her big paws. Hence, I wanted one longer and thicker. Yak bones last forever and they are worth it if your dog is an aggressive chewer. They do make dogs thirsty, so just an FYI. I recommend this healthy alternative to all dog parents!

But she’s a Stafford Terrier so she loves anything she can chew on lol! This brand seems to last longer than other brands

My American Bully has an enormous mouth. She cannot have treats under 8" she will swallow them whole. No other chews stand up to her for more than 10 mons, or don't splinter dangerously. THESE are phenomenal. We order the double xl monster or Doble xl long. Each lasts at least 2 weeks and stands up to aggressive chomping. Well worth it.

Dog loves it but he would have it gone in one day if I don't take it away. $20 is too expensive to let him devour it so quickly. I really thought it should last a lot longer. :-(
