I bought this to replace the filter in our pond. Wasn't sure if it would do the job. I had to cut it to size (very easy).I cut 2 placed back to back. It's perfect!! Filters really well. I have plenty left to last awhile.

I have many fish tanks- this has saved me money. This is very durable foam so it can be used over and over I just hose it off outside and put it back in the tank and cut it down to the size I need. I use this in my pond pumps and fish tanks.

I was about to return this and leave a 1 star review. It came vacuum packed and deformed when I opened it. After panicking, I saw a little piece of paper (picture included) with instructions on how to make the foam expand. I didn't leave it out for 12 hours. JUST PUT IT IN HOT WATER. It will return to normal immediately.

Worked great

I ordered a roll of filter foam with quick shipping so I could use it ASAP upon delivery. Rather than the pictured full-size roll, a packing envelope sized vacuum packed square arrived. Great for saving on seller's shipping and storage cost, horrible for end user. They give you two options upon opening the item: wait 12 hours to allow it to return to shape (which it DID NOT DO) or soak and squeeze it in 140 degree water to let it return to shape (not even going to bother with attempting that). Additionally, while unfolding and laying it out to hopefully expand, it was shedding material. Filters are supposed to prevent small particles (you know, FILTER THEM, rather than introduce small particles into whatever environment you are trying to "filter". Also, the dimensions are NOT what is claimed, the foam isn't even cut in a straight line, and the thickness isn't anywhere near what is advertised since it did not expand more than about a centimeter, which is not the inch advertised. Wish I had read the prior reviews rather than going off of the 4+ star rating.

Material falls apart constantly leaving black foam particles in the water.

This 6' roll of 1" thick foam came in an extremely vacuum sealed bag. The entire package was less than a half inch thick. Even after opening the package and letting it hang in my office over night it's still so compressed it's basically unusable as a filter media. Don't spend your $ on this product. Mine will be returned asafp. I've included a picture showing what 1" is supposed to look like vs what I received. Unacceptable.

Primero pensé que venía muy comprimido y no me servía, lo saqué de la pequeña caja en que viene y venía súper comprimido y delgado , lo dejé fuera por un día pensé no me serviría y al otro día ya estaba en el tamaño indicado , posteriormente encontré dentro de la caja una tarjeta con las indicaciones para hacer que la esponja tomé su tamaño 😅UPS fue por no leer y revisar.creo que cumple lo que anuncia, me parece una buena opción por el precio. Más rápido de lo previsto su llegada.
