Bought with trepidation, and very impressed despite those fears!
TLDR: Worked well, and no sticky residue.Disclaimer: I do not use this product for its stated purpose. I use it to mask plywood for laser cutting. I make some pretty intricate candle holders, and need something that sticks well so the edges don't curl while cutting, and that comes off fairly easily and leaves no residue.I tried painters tape, it sucked. Getting it unrolled to the length I needed was time consuming. It stuck really well, but left sticky residue on the intricately cut pieces. That also sucked. This type of product was recommended on the forums for my laser cutter, so I figured I would try it. I was a bit apprehensive at the reviews saying it kept tearing, but the expensive roll of painters tape wasn't working, and had cost more. I gave it a try.I had to unroll about 14" of tape, line up the roll with the plywood, stick down the far edge, then smooth it out working to the other end, then ensure that there were no bubbles. This was so much easier than the other tape. Trying to get that tape unrolled without it sticking to itself was a two man job. This transfer tape was easy to unroll to the needed length, and if it stuck to itself, I could easily pull it apart. I masked both sides of 15 pieces of plywood by myself. No help needed! It did tear a bit twice, but each time I was able to catch it quickly, and with a bit of effort could continue on. I noticed that there was a strip that seemed to be harder to unroll past, but a bit of one edge then the other edge pulling got past it easily. I figured that somewhere along the line it was stored laying flat instead of on end.I will definitely be buying more when this runs out! I just need to find a tape dispenser for it!
