As of today, a poncho seems to be not relevant. Since these raincoats have been replaced by membrane clothing. But as history shows, if something was done extremely functional, it will last for many years despite appearance of more advanced and new products. So, with all its external simplicity, this multi-use piece of equipment will serve for a long time for military, tourists, fishermen and hunters. ▶ A feature of poncho from M-Tac is the strong nylon fabric Rip-stop. As a rule, it is used for tailoring military and other uniforms. ▶The poncho comes packed into a nylon carrying case. ▶Rectangular shape, common for all ponchos ▶The edges are equipped with cords in eyelets for pulling it like a tent ▶On the sides it is fastened with buttons for wearing like rain cover ▶The volume is regulated by a cord, on the inside of the poncho ▶Equipped with a hood, which is regulated by a cord on the retainer

This is not military surplus. Made in China crap.
Total misrepresentation in description where it states “ Great piece of military surplus to go hiking camping backpacking hunting or fishing”This is not military surplus. This is brand new made-in-China crap.

Big poncho
This poncho IS water proof. It is the same size as my multicam woobie, and mates with it nicely. It is big enough for a shelter system, and has the waist sinch cord, also the hood is big enough for a helmet. So far the only thing I think could be better is the fact that it comes down your front a lot farther than your back, it seems more logical to have the back longer to cover a backpack.

Why did I wait so long to get this?
Just after receiving it, I wore it in a relentless downpour for a half day in the woods. There was one small spot near the back of the neck seam in the hood that needed a drop of water-proof sealant, but other than that it was perfect. I ordered this to have on backpacking trips for foul weather and a small backup tarp. It works great. Grommet points work perfect for shelter applications. I have a tan 'commercialized mil-type' knock-off of this that is too heavy and does not have the grommet tie points. I'm so glad I got this and wonder why I waited so long to get it. I like it so much, I may need to get another for my work laptop backpack.

Best Poncho/raincoat i could find on amazon.
This is a good quality poncho. I have tested it for its ability to stay dry it does pretty well unlike a lot of ponchos and raincoats out there. It is nylon so its breathable unlike cheap plastic ponchos you can buy for 1$ at stores. this was the best one i could find on amazon. I was initially petty frustrated going through all the terrible ones that still had 4/5 stars somehow. Sometimes its hard to find a good quality item nowadays. But this one isnt bad at all. If it was up to me those ponchos with 4/5 stars would get 1/5 stars. What good is a poncho if it doesnt even bock the rain.

M-Tac Nylon Rip-stop Poncho, Multicam
Product as advertised. A poncho is always a good piece of kit to have stowed away in your pack. This item is particularly lightweight and comes with its own stuff bag but as such it will go unnoticed in my pack until I need it. A good piece of kit to have when laid up in a static OP or blind although the nylon is a little noisy for close up work. Possibly not as big as I would have liked. I also replaced the attached cords with paracord. I have had a poncho in my field inventory since my father provided me with my first one he brought back from Vietnam in 1970 and have spent many (comfortable, and miserable) nights under one in the field. I still have this original item and although it is now fifty years old it is still as good as the day it was issued and still gets occasional use.

“Military Army” has apparently changed over the years...
I was pretty excited to find this, as I have been looking for a good military grade poncho for quite some time. After reading the reviews I thought I had finally found one...Either those writing the reviews have never been issued a military poncho in the U.S. Army, or the quality of ponchos being issued has greatly diminished. This is a ten dollar poncho that someone made with multi-cam colored nylon to which they added grommets and tie downs. That does NOT a “military army” grade poncho make...unless your army is some Third-World destitute country. It is definitely “light-weight” though — You can SEE THROUGH the thing!!! WTH??? Something this cheap will not last in the field. For the price I actually believed I was getting a quality item, but the joke is on me...ha-ha...😢This is NOT a field worthy piece of kit. Highly disappointing. If you want to spend almost fifty bucks for a ten dollar poncho, be my guest. But do not say that you were not warned!

If you're shopping for a poncho, you know what a poncho does. This won't disappoint.
I got out during the ACU era, but this Multicam version has all the features and durability I remember. It's a poncho, what else is there to say?

Military poncho
Arrived perfect, no rips or tears. I stow it in my bug out bag for emergency shelter paired with a woobie.

Can the hoodie get any bigger?
Bigger enough, but the hoodie is ridiculously oversized....literally comes down over the entire face to the point you can't see....adjusting it is such a pain.....can only be worn practically over a brimmed hat.....stupid design......Chinese made, what can you say.
