I bought 5 other travel backpacks to try before I found this bag. 5! All of them went back except for this one.I am a pretty light packer, and most of my trips are no more than a long weekend. I had been using a 20 year old duffel bag to travel with, but I am getting older and the one shoulder strap of the duffel wasnt cutting it anymore. The problem with most of the travel backpacks I found was that they were just too big, or laptop backpacks were just not big enough. I didnt want something that just looks like I strapped a carry-on onto my back. This is the PERFECT SIZE.I like that it opens like a suitcase for the main compartment. I am usually too lazy to use packing cubes so this makes it easy to pack. The outside pockets arent the most convenient to access (the side entry its a little weird and hard to see inside. It also doesnt feel all that durable. The fabric is thin and the zippers feel cheap. But like I said, I was willing to compromise on these things because the size and suitcase style entry were the most important things for me.The side compression straps are great for holding down a jacket on the outside of the bag, or hanging my travel pillow off of.If they made a higher grade version of this exact bag with better fabric and zippers I would buy it in a heartbeat. Until then I just hope it holds up long enough for the price to be worth it.

So immediately out of the box this bag has been giving me problems. I buy things for quality and for the price I paid, you’d think I’d get something of higher quality. The zipper for the main compartment is sharp on the back end. It unzips fine, but when you zip it back up, it gets caught on the fabric every once or so making it super hard to zip back up. I would return this, but I got it and paid for 1 day shipping as I have a work trip to go on tomorrow so this is really annoying for me to have a faulty piece and not be able to have the time to do anything about it. You’d think they’d do a quality check at least, right? For this item, it doesn’t happen. Be careful if you are on a time constraint.

Unfortunately this is as far as I can insert my Dell G3 3579. If that's not a generic 15 inch laptop then there's no such thing as a generic 15 inch laptop. If you've got a 13 inch laptop then I'd absolutely recommend this bag. I'm honestly pretty bummed I have to return it.

Ideal for a woman traveler. A place for glasses / sunglasses, zippered instant-access for a passport, medicine, or toiletries. Fits a pair of shoes, two shirts, a 15" Mac and cord, couple of trade-size books, AND my small purse. Just the right amount of pockets (not too Swiss-knife). Pack straps include a slit to slide it over the handle of my carryon so I could take it off my shoulder when I wanted. I can't over-recommend it.
