JadedAid: A Card Game to Save Humanitarians

I got this as a gift for someone who studied development and now works in development. We played it together with my family and we all really enjoyed it. We found some of the cards hilarious and sadly quite true. It helped us chat about some of the issues that come up in development. We liked that it was global and included development organizations like the GIZ and DFID.

I do not play the game as designed. I have added these cards to my Cards AGainst Humanity Deck. They were a good addition to my deck and we've played with them in the deck for over a month now.

It’s a fun game to start thinking deeper about development work. However, certain cards are super inappropriate and racist. There are certain things that one can’t poke fun at. Example: Asian ass, boat of drowning brown people (really?!?!?)

A must-have for any go bag. Humanitarians, donors, development nerds, conflict junkies and affiliates are certain to enjoy. The deck is slightly more robust on east Africa issues but extra blank cards allow for the user to build humor capacity in other regional or technical areas as called for by varying situational awareness.

Not as funny as I had hoped. Far too serious for CAH.

Having just gotten back from the Peace Corps, I feel these cards a little too much. I just wish they'd bring back the official Peace Corps expansion pack!

I got this for a friend, and we played it as soon as we could. I thought it was hilarious, and she loved it too. She said it was one of the best gifts she had ever gotten.

For a $25 pack of cards, I was disappointed on the state of how my cards arrived (see pic). The game itself is cool though.
