What can I say? they are spokes!!! In my own opinion they are of the same material and as sturdy as so called higher quality ones around the internet... prior to buying these spokes I would buy dt Swiss spokes so I was basically paying twice the price as these until I tried these spokes out. I refuse to pay the outrageous prices for wheels so I buy my own wheel hubs and bare rims and build my wheels myself to save money.. I only buy these spokes now anytime I build a wheel which is often because I enjoy putting them together and to have extra wheels on hand, the nipples could possibly be a little better quality, but if you know what you are doing these work perfect, I haven't broken one of these spokes yet till this day or stripped a nipple. I keep my bikes inside the house so I can't really say if they rust or not because my bikes or wheels do not have rust on them at all. Check out the pics of some of my wheel builds. I only have trek and specialized bikes, these are the bikes I use these spokes on the majority of the time. You can't beat the price either as name brand spokes start at about a dollar a spoke alone... that's why I think the folks with bad reviews either don't know they're doing or just had shipping or order issues but as for the spokes they are well above fair quality in my opinion great quality for the price...

I ordered the 261mm spokes to repair my granddaughters bike. The spokes arrived in a box clearly marked 261mm, but the spokes were actually 267mm, and poked up into the inner tube. I returned them for a replacement. Prompt service, but the next box, again, clearly marked 261mm, were in fact only 256mm, way too short to even reach the nipples in the rim. This is a total lack of quality control. It's just not that hard to measure the length and put them in the correct box.Returned for refund (thank you Amazon for doing that part right). Total waste of time.

So the spokes themselves appear to be of decent quality but they were all the wrong size. By a long shot! Each bag I ordered was labeled as the appropriate length that i ordered but none worked for my wheel build. After looking at the label on the bag, the sticker noting the length looked hastily applied. Once I peeled the sticker, it revealed the actual size of the spoke which were significantly shorter. Disappointed to say the least!

My old bike was in need of a refresher (14 spokes had disconnected) so I decided to respoke and renew my rear wheel which was the only wheel damaged. It was an easy enough job: follow the pattern and tension them. The nuts in this kit, however had a couple issues. For a couple of them, the internal threads were damaged, so I could not properly install the spoke. In a couple spots I had to reuse the old tensioners. Otherwise nice and clean.

First, it did not come with nipples. I tried to use the old nipple and the new spoke would not tighten past two turns, not nearly enough to tighten the spoke properly. I tried many spokes and all sorts of things to get the spoke to screw into the old nipple. The old, broken spoke threaded in there just fine, BTW. I ended up ordering a whole new set from a different vendor. I am now riding minus one spoke while I wait for a new shipment. Don't buy from this vendor.

I was going to order 1mm smaller to be safe but that size was sold out. I ordered exact size and new set matched old set perfectly. These are heavier gauge than OEM from my entry level mountain bike (gravity basecamp).

Wow, I looked all over Los Angeles bike shops for inexpensive spokes. They want about 2 dollars per spoke. These spokes are 36for12.99. I rebuilt my wheel and tested it on hard MTB terrain. I strongly recommend these spokes.

Worked on my mongoose envoy tires...which is a relief! First time replacing spokes- they seem to be holding up great so far. Got plenty for later if anything comes up. Good price for great quality.

correct spoke length was delivered.
