UGroom Ergonomic Nail Trimmer, Small

Bought this trimmer to use on my two cats, aged 1yr and 6mo. The blade cuts through cat claws with no problem, although it could be a little sharper- it often leaves my cats' nails a bit raggedy, although a quick swipe with a pet nail file fixes that pretty easily. The guard is nice, too- I know not to cut the quick, but my cats usually start getting irritated toward the end of the pedicure, so I have to do the last few nails pretty quickly, and it's nice to have the reassurance that even if my hand slips, I won't be lopping off the entire nail, quick and all.They do seem pretty light, so I'm not sure how they would hold up to dog nails, but cat claws are no match for the UGroom.(Here's my advice: wait until your kitty is settled down somewhere accessible, preferably sleepy but not asleep. Start by gently touching your kitty's paw; gradually progress to gently lifting it, then gently squeezing it so the claws show a little, then eventually progress to gently squeezing the paw so that the claws are fully extended. At this point, I would recommend gently putting the trimmer in place around the nail, but refrain from actually cutting the nail until your cat doesn't seem particularly bothered by the presence of the trimmer. Keep a close eye on your kitty's mood the entire time, and be sure to reward them with lots of treats and headscratchies!)

They are to big for a cat. He fought it.

I purchased this trimmer before, it has a nail stop to prevent cutting to much of the nail at one time. This one is great for small dogs. It is worth the money.

THEY WORK GREAT. My Yorkies don't mind near as much to let me trim their nails. This is like the 3 or 4 trimmers I have bought.

I own a groom shop. They are terrible. Broken within less than two weeks. Very sad about the quality. Not worth it.

Bought this Nail Clipper, after losing my Wahl clipper.Like past reviewers, the clipper broke after the 1st use. You need to always reattach the spring, since the company failed to permanently glue it on.
