Awful, poorly written, full of errors and missing information
Don't buy this book! I feel sorry for any frustrated kids trying to make it through this book. It feels like it was written by a non native speaker. It has many errors, often when my son gets answers wrong, we work through them and discover he was right and the book was wrong. The jumbles and crosswords were unsolvable by even the most advanced puzzlers in the house. Many questions are asked about material not even presented in the book and when you look it up online, it's not easy to find 6th-grade digestible material for kids (about specific geologic processes for example) and even when we find them, they don't align with the answers in the back. Sometimes I can't even understand the questions without using the answers to decipher them. We have used this as part of our homeschool work now for over a month now and I'm not sure I have ever been more frustrated with educational material that we've used. It's abysmal. DON'T BUY IT.

Not Worth The Cost OR the Hassle
I ordered both the 5th and 6th grade versions of this book to supplement our homeschool curriculum. Based on the Amazon description, I was really looking forward to receiving my copies.Unfortunately, based on the huge number of typos and incorrect answers printed in both books, plus the fact that it's printed in black and white (not color as advertised) made these books impossibly confusing to use.My customer service experience was also less than stellar. Their slow response time meant I was only able to return one copy before the return window closed and instead of refunding the second book, they've promised me another useless copy... eventually.

Waste of time
This book is way too simple, plus it’s in black and white which makes it hard to answer questions that are color related. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Great Book!
A great book to keep my 10-year-old to occupied with a nice flavor of different subjects. My daughter loves to do the worksheet and thoroughly enjoys the book. Highly recommend!

Great for additional learning and practice
This book is great to have around the home for many different scenarios. You can use this as additional practice of materials that are being learned at school, to keep information fresh during summer or other extended breaks or to challenge children that need something a little more difficult than what they are working on in school. I think this book has a large variety of activities and lessons. I like that there is an easy to read table of contents at the beginning of the book so you can easily find the type of activity you want to do. The book is broken down into English, Math and Science. I find the book to be plenty colorful with kid friendly illustrations throughout. The only suggestion I would have about the color would be to have each subject have a different color strip on the bottom of the page, because that may make it easier to flip to the correct section quickly. However. the pages are numbered, so if you look at the table of contents first you will know where to go. There is a little write up before each new topic that tells you a little bit about what the following questions will be on. This is more of a supplemental workbook, however, so it will not go into great detail to teach the children a new concept. I do like that the answer key in the back of the book will often give explanations of the answer as well to further help with understanding. I also like that this book has some pretty easy to complete activities and some more difficult activities that really make you think. I also like that most of the spots that require written answers actually give the children enough room to write. As mentioned before, the answer key in the back of the book does a good job with explanations, but it can be difficult to locate the correct section when you flip back there. They are labeled clearly with the name of the activity, but I think page numbers next to that would be super helpful.Overall, this is a great activity book for children. It has a lot of material, but is not an overly large book that is hard to tote around. It is bright and colorful with clear and easy to read writing. It has a large variety of activities and doesn't shy away from giving kids a little challenge. I am happy to have added this book to our collection.

Good Workbook (Not Full Curiculum) For Summer Learning and Keeping Sharp
The One Big Book - Grade 6: For English, Math, and Science by Ace Academic Publishing I'm a fan of.This book is perfect for keeping sixth-grade skills sharp before delving into the next. In this book, you'll find the following must-know skills for math, science, and English. Some of these skills include; language, reading, writing, geometry, probability, number systems, earth science, physical science, ecology, and much more.Activities and answers are not too difficult, for example, there are pages with multiple choices and fill in the blank. This is an older grade so don't expect activity-type exercises such as unscrambling, crosswords, and so forth.I do applaud the book for not being so dull and boring to look at. The illustrations are colorful. I feel the work activities are not so many that one would feel overwhelmed completing them. There is an answer key in the back of the book if needed. The pages are not perforated so you can't remove them easily and I would not recommend it. You could skip around the book but the activities are sprinkled about and are not so similar following another a child would get bored.Know this is a workbook and not a book that has a major teaching approach to the skills within.Recommended!
