Teammates

This was a great story of friendship and camaraderie. The theme is one that everyone should learn, when times are tough, stand up for your friends. Loved it!

The story is great for my 2nd grade students, but my book arrived folded in half. So disappointing.

This is a wonderful book to share with students during Black History month. It lends itself so well to teaching inferences. So many students know so little about segregation, and this story provides several examples for them to consider. My students liked the combination of real photos and illustrations.

Teammates is a must have book for elementary educators. The only problem I had was with the company (hippo_books) I purchased the book from. I purchased a hardcover book, but was sent a paperback copy. The company did rectify the situation rather quickly when I notified them they had sent the wrong item. They were unable to send the orginal hardcover copy because they said they could not find it in their supply, so they credited my account and there was no charge for the softcover book.

My daughter was reading this story in school, and she had an assignment for it but she forgot the book at school. We very easily downloaded it onto my Ipad. A very informative story about some of the greatest baseball players ever. A wonderful read!

Great book to talk to my students about being an UPstander and addresses acceptance of others. Excellent book!

I was a good book because it had a very good message behind it. A white person not caring about the color of His skin and being his friend.

This is a very well done summary of the early civil rights struggle and how two athletes from different backgrounds became great role models in braving the hatred and demonstrating the tolerance. I read it to my students every year.
