We are in the process of building out our home gym and needed a bar to complete the set. After looking, there are bars that go from $150 to $250 and that was out of our budget. We found this bar and for under $100 it was a steal. Bar came right out to 45 lbs on the scale so I am confident in my lifts. My olympic plates fit with no issues and the bar clips I also purchased for this par fit with no issues. There was a slight oil layer on the bar when it came out of the packaging, but it wiped right off.Speaking of packaging. I would trust whoever packaged this with the hope diamond. Sturdy tube which the cap was screwed on. Both ends of the bar where wrapped in foam and then wrapped in plastic. Fantastic Job.If there is a need to get another bar to have 2 of them, I will be buying this again.

High grade quality product

I needed a 6 ft bar with wide enough grip width to clear my squat rack width, which is 48in. most 6 ft bars are less than 48in, this one clears the cage by about 1 inch...perfect! I did not want to go to a 7 ft bar. The build quality is very good, knurling, chrome finish, weight rating, and can't beat the price! Very satisfied.

The bar is solid, but a little greasy/slick and I’ve had to clean it a couple of times. The weight description on the page is wrong too - it’s actually 15 lbs, which is fine.

I've used this bar for over a year and I've had no problems. I bought the 1-inch 7-foot-long size because I wanted to use all the cheap 1-inch standard size weights I've acquired over the years on a 5-foot wide bench. This was really the only bar I found in that size in this price range so I bought it. It's been a good bar I would definitely buy it again. It feels like good solid metal and the knurling is comfortable for me at 200lbs. I can fit a good amount of thick plates on each side.

The reason I bought this bar was as a replacement to one I have had for years. The old one was fantastic, but the collars that are supposed to hold the weights from sliding to far on the bar began to slide in from repeatedly slamming weights against them. (Probably my fault) The collars eventually slid in so far that the bar could no longer fit on my bench, as the weight plates were too far in, and would hit the posts that hold the bar. Anyways, I was so excited to get this bar. The first thing I noticed when I got it is that the collars look like they were glued on by an elementary school student. I suspect the same problem would happen within a week. Despite this, I still wanted to try out my new bar. I put the weights on, and then went to put the clips on… The bar is too small. The clips slide freely and don’t hold the weight on the bar whatsoever. Very disappointed. Will be sending back.

Been using for everything. Have had up to 250 so far with slight bend but no serious issues. Not planning on going much over 300lbs

not sure why it says 7lbs. i have the 84" barbell and I weighed it at 18 lbs. we will see what happens when I load 200 lbs on it for Shrugs. I may be back for to revise my review?

This 5 foot barbell measures to be 59 inches in total length.The collar to collar (space where your hands can grip) is 35 inches.The ends (length of the ends of the bar where the plates sit/slide on) are 11.75 inches.The seller has measurements of the item in one of the photos stating, 40.74 Inches collar to collar, and the ends are 9.05 Inches.The measurements are VERY far off.The most concerning I would say is the diameter of the ends where the plates sit. The diameter is well below 1 inch. This means that if you have the coil spring clamps, they will not fit. I have tried my adjustable plastic+foam clamps and they fit well.The main concern for this is when you have to put the plates on the floor. There will be a delay from the bar being picked up and the 0.5cm gap of the weight will follow.The weight of the bar is 5.4kg or 11.9lbs which is normal for a 5 foot bar I suppose.Other than those issues, the bar is constructed well. There are no manufacturing inconsistencies like sharp metal fragments, the collars are attached well and are straight, and the paint appears fully entact (no chipping or peeling)For those interested, the smooth part in the center of the bar is 11 inches in width, followed by 8 inches of the diamond hatching on both sides. I find the placement of the hatching appropriate for the normal uses (deadlift, press, etc...)Overall if you are okay with the measurements I provided, you are okay with the gap in the plates, buy adjustable clamps, and don't put the weights on the floor or don't mind the gap, then this might work for you. I unfortunately will not find use for this bar.

Ordered barbell at reduced price due to cosmetic issue. Described as a 5% cosmetic issue. Barbell was missing the permanent inner rings to keep weights on!! Crazy! How misleading.
