I had these when I was a child I got bullyed at school and I would read these books and some how feel like I was pulled into them it give me comfort so I got them my son to read and he now loves them too

Fantastic. Have really ignited my five year old's (boy) imagination. The issues with political correctness can easily be dealt with- eg. Joe seems to get all the good ideas, girls more involved in making meals - and used as a discussion point on past gender roles. Recommend that every child have these stories read to them, and to read by themselves when older.

Bought for my eight year old to help with reading. Is p4 teacher read one of them and he loved the story. So is try reading it himself. Looks a great quality book set.

I remembered reading these books as a child and it is lovely that they still have huge appeal for today's children.
