An idiotic shifter with stupid decisions
Well, we have a protagonist who is an idiot. You make her a dragon - one of a kind. She is wimpy, irresponsible, with no redeemable quality in the first book. And to top it all she is in heat and acts like it even when she is not supposed to be. Her back story has no bearing on the person she is now. A teenager who took care of a dying mom for 2 years and buried her doesn't act like her.A message for the author - it is annoying as hell to read about you MC who is in constant state of denial.

Bad writing
This book was all over the place and the main character couldn't stick with a personality. Maybe I've grown out of these sort of books where the main character falls in love with the guy she barely knows, it just felt forced. Sloane also contradicted nearly everything she said or did: "Kind of. I mean not a lot of jobs for illustrators, so it's more of a hobby" literally less than a paragraph later "I'm an artist. I do faces for a living"...there's a lot of those where Sloane contradicts herself. There were also a few grammar mistakes and sentences that took 3 times to read to make sense if i bent over backwards, that brings you out of the story.I guess this book is fine if you're looking for that twilight fix of girl is obsessed with boy but won't tell him and want's to run away but get's jealous of every other female in the vicinity. If you're looking for a more mature writing style though I'd say look else where.

Thoroughly Enjoyable!!πππππ₯π₯
A 4.5 Star Read πSkyborn (Dragons & Druids #1)I loved this series opener.Being a new Skyborn Dragon is terrifying & daunting to Sloane.π All she's ever known was human history so learn about the Fae is intimidating. She's overwhelmed but also pleased to be so included in their pack.π I'm not gonna lie - She was a wimp & fool that put her own & everyone else's life on the line with her fear & insecurities!!ππ But unfortunately it was understandable with her unknown heritage & everyone's hatred of Druids.ππThis is an exciting though scary world. I'm really looking forward to learning more about it & their pack!πDebbie, 1970, UK

Dragons Druids and Danger
At first I was not sure about Sloane but by the time I got halfway through the book I figured it out. If you knew you were human, dragons and mythology were fairytales. You too would go into denial, which is exactly what Sloane did when her dragon took over. Add in scumbags, good guys and danger. Stir well and this is a good start to the series.

Loved this book a must read
I was completely gripped by this book strait away I couldn't put it down! This book mostly revolves around the central character Slone, which is not a bad thing as there is always a central point to go back to. All the character's have full depth to their stories so you care where they live or die and in some scenes I was really kept on the edge of my seat. A fantastic read and recommend it to everyone

Great read but...
Great read but there was something that rubbed me the wrong way with Slone. Regardless of that the story was enough to keep me engage. Despite the first person POV I would have liked to have seen what Logen thought and felt. Other then that I Thoroughly enjoyed this book and looks forward to the next one.
