Compares to the expensive model
Only issue I have is with the round rubber pad that mounts beneath the clip. Kept falling out when clipping to my pocket. After drilling a small hole and removing the paint in an area the size of the pad it can be glued in place. Problem solved, now it fits secure in my pocket hem and the rubber disc stays put through any movements. Needs a little work but it beats the $45-50 NeoMag unit.

Great for steel mags - so,so for polymer mags
The concept is excellent and this is an initial assessment evaluating under perfect conditions (I haven’t used it in the field yet). When used with my steel magazines, they stayed firmly in place, even 180gr. .40 S&W.When I used it with my polymer mags, especially the 147gr. 9mm the magazine frequently came loose from the carrier. Personally I like knockdown power so I don’t see me using this when I carry certain firearms. The clip that attaches to your pocket is VERY strong. I haven’t had any of the pad slipping that several others have mentioned, however, I am curious to see how it handles Texas heat.I will post an update once I have had a chance to put it through its paces.

Works good after minor updates
5 stars for value and for the most part quality compared to the competition. However…After some minor updates, this product has been good so far. It’s important to note that this product will require some glue or epoxy and loctite for the clip screws as seen in my pics with blue arrows. The rubber grip pad fell off right from the start; fixed with epoxy. I also added loctite to the clip screws as there was none on them. Let them cure for 24hrs and you’re good to go.The magnet is very strong but doesn’t work well for plastic mags like Glock mags.Metal mags worked the best. Seen here with Sig 938 mag.All in all, if you don’t mind a little DIY update, this is a good mag holder for the price.

Perfect for my needs!
The magnet and clip are both very strong. This holder, or my mag, isn't going anywhere.

Does not work well with magazine extensions or thicker baseplates
I bought one of these to hold a spare magazine in my pocket. If you have all steel magazines with a thin metal baseplate it works great. However, if you try it with say a Ruger LCP magazine, there is a lot of slop for the magazine to float from side to side. For Glock magazines, full-size G19 or small G43, it will hold the magazines, but honestly could use a stronger or second magnet in my opinion. However, if you are running Taran Tactical Innovations magazine extensions, even just the +1's, the magazine can be seen in your pocket pretty easily as it prevents the magazine from being seated deeper in the pocket. My biggest peeve is that of the pocket clip itself. I'm not sure what it is, if its the lack of tempering, wrong metal or what, but the clip does not seem to have that "spring" in it like the ones on pocket knives and it is pretty easily bent as my wife accomplished that for me. I also do not like the polymer disk under the clip that is supposed to grab your pocket material. I would redesign this clip to function more like a pocket knife by being low profile with a longer depth of at least an inch. Just my $0.02. It works as designed and probably does work well with standard magazines just fine.

Easy and discrete way to carry a spare mag but have it ready for instant use.
This clip is designed to hold your spare magazine in place and accessible within your pocket or waistband; it is not for OWB carry. I have used this magazine holder with both blue jeans (AIWB) and summer weight shorts (pocket carry) keeping my spare mag in my left back pocket. This means I am sitting on the mag and sometimes that's uncomfortable. But the clip design puts it deep enough in my pocket to remain out of sight for CCW while the magnet keeps it in a position where I can draw and reload without fumbling around or having to check the mag orientation during a fast change. One valid complaint from some other reviewers is that the provided spacer pad / cushion for the clip moves around. This is true, and without the spacer under the clip the grip is not tight enough to keep your magazine in place. However, once I was sure enough about the thickness and (initial) location of the spacer, cleaning both surfaces with alcohol and then super-gluing the spacer in place solved that problem. I went back and forth on 4-stars (it's a clone of a more well known brand and the spacer pad 'drift' problems) and 5-stars (great value for the price / performance). In the end 5-stars won out.

Adhesive for silicone is terrible BUT...
The adhesive that attaches the silicone is terrible and the manufacture must know this because it came with extra silicone pieces and the required tool to remove the clip. Don't let this be a deal breaker for you though. I applied some industrial adhesive and now the product is prefect and still FAR more affordable than the Neo-mag. I 100% recommend IF you are willing to take the minor extra step of adding better adhesive

So close
Well it looked good for the money. Has potential. But the magnet is a little weak. I'm using on a G43 mag and the mag falls off the Clio pretty easy in my pocket. I get it cant be so strong so you can load the mag in if need be. But a little stronger would be useful. I think I'm going to return. But so close.
