By law all double insulated tools and devices use only a 2-prong plugs. Non insulated tools and devices use a 3-prong plug.

Yes, These inverters have a upper voltage cut-off and will not start if the voltage is too high. However, the battery pack's 14.4 V is OCV. It will drop substantially as soon as it is connected with the inverter and load. By the way, what is the AH of the battery??

This is an inverter only; no battery storage. Depending on your load, you could run it from a car for a short time, and start the car as the battery starts to get low. Or, buy a dedicated deep-cycle battery.

This converts 12v battery power to 120v AC. It’s great for small televisions and computers and other small electronics that need AC power.
