Perfect!
We love our pergola! Husband put this together in a day with little help. Directions were easy to follow and pieces were all where/what they should be. Would recommend. We also added a water proofing that makes it look slightly darker than it originally arrived.

It will work for what I needed it for.
Put together it is nice and sturdy and stable. Looks nice. I used it for a car port for our Durango. 10x12 I had to use the 12 for the width, and since only the windshield is what I am really worried about for rain, snow and ice, 10 feet is no problem for length.I have yet to get the trellis parts up, and then after that is done then I will roof the top with corrugated tin sheets for rain runoff.Plus was that it was a relatively cheap solution for a need I had for winter.Problems are:- Instructions are short and not comprehensive. I had to take a couple pieces apart after noticing some things that should have been pointed out more clearly.- Drive screws (long ones) are horrible quality and soft metal several striped only half way in due to the wood and could not handle the torque to get them into it fully.- Many of the dove tails did not match well, forcing me to shaves parts to get the to fit.- Only about half the bolt holes matched well, I had to use a rubber mallet to really smack some of them into the post and joint holes. It was really bad with the corner pieces.- Part "D" with the notches for the Trellis frame the two notches either side of the board do not line up that well with the frame crown pieces connected to the posts. This means in order to get them to slide in as they should I will have to saw a bit on the sides of the notch to remove some more wood to get them to fit.Over all I think the quality of the work for preassembly was rendered wasted time if I have to make these modifications, which I will have to do to get this finished.I think for the money I paid it should have been much better.I had planned to buy two more if this worked out well, but now I am not interested, and will keep only this one.

LOTS of Pros and Cons!
If you are serious about purchasing this pergola I HIGHLY suggest reading this and a lot other reviews. As many had mentioned, the assembly was not that easy, in fact, it was difficult (and I had 3 & 4 people helping over 2 days)! Here are my comments:- Like others mentioned, the wood is not that great. It is semi stained or colored wood and not a consistent color. So I purchased stain and sealer before I started to put this together. But hindsight, it might have been better to stain it after it was up as I had to make some new drill holes and it got scuffed up moving it around on the deck.- After reading comments about parts, I methodically made sure everything sent matched what was listed in the instructions. Mine came with all the parts.- Several pieces of wood were cracked/damaged, but for me not enough not to be able to use. Hopefully I can get the pictures uploaded.- And even though I read the dimensions, the side corbels sit very low and anyone over 5’10 will have to duck on either sides of this (it could have been just a foot taller imo, and might just raise it myself somehow later). For these comments, I suggest downloading and reviewing the instructions to better prepare yourself if you are purchasing this.- For starters, I would suggest securing the base pads to the poles. After you put it up, it is very difficult to secure it. The best I can do now is just wood gluing it together- Big note here, the beam assembly (#1 in instructions) does not mention that you need to make sure the long & short beams have 2 holes on each side to fit the long corbels. If you mess up the assembly, you will have to drill holes for the corbels (#6) or take them all apart.- Step 8 (purlins) does not tell you how far apart each of them need to be, so you have to do the math to get it right.- The post holes and the purlins only matched on a couple of posts. So I had to re-drill holes in the purlins to get the screws in.- The 1 x 2 lattice pieces are different sizes, so match them up accordingly. And the instructions say to hold them together with ONE screw.. NOT! I had to put a bracket on them before trying to hoist them up on the pergola. Even that was not enough but one up and kinda together we could put pressure and squeeze them together to make some angles met. I also ended up purchasing an extra (9) 1 x 2’s and ran them the opposite direction for more shade coverage and esthetics (to cover up the bad angles of the lattice pieces in the middle). So I would give this 4 stars for affordability, but 1 star for the material, assembly instructions, and manufacturing. For those that wrote it was easy and simple to put up – they got lucky or didn’t care about how it looked finished. But now that I’m all done and its up, I love it!

Love this pergola!!
Love the ability of this pergola to set up a defined focal area in what was a formerly unkempt jungle. Very well constructed; high quality and lovely final appearance. I contacted some local handy people to assemble it for me. It took a team of two, about 6 hours to assemble it. Shipped much quicker than anticipated (came in about a week)
